Fantastic. Ponga is a must and I feel we are better as team. Great stuff.

Being short in the forwards, I was hoping there would be room on the bench for Oates. He wouldn't be able to handle the normal workload of a forward, so it would only work if he's the bench utility beside 3 proper forwards on the bench, so it's unlikely if Ponga gets that spot. But we could really use him for a spell coming out of our own end on the 2nd or 3rd tackle, even if we don't get to use his finishing ability.

Ponga is an awful selection as the utility. They bowed to the public hype. Does not make the team stronger at all. Makes it weaker.

Ponga should only come in at fullback when Billy retires or is injured. AWFUL SELECTION.

Why? His defence is no worse than Milfords, probably better. he's in great form, better than Milford, he makes things happen.I'm with Huge, I think this will be the beginning of a great rep career

He threw three balls to nobody and kicked the ball straight into the opposition within the first 20 minutes this weekend. He’s not ready

He's ready+ Milford needs a kick up the arse from someone other than his club coach.

Ponga is in the same form Milf was at his age.... milf just never had a shot to play then because we were stacked with immortals.

Yep. This is what annoys me about all the Ponga hype. People just flat out ignoring the errors he makes. He put his side under a heap of pressure yesterday in the first 20 minutes with errant passes and bad kicks.

Queensland selectors have just caved to all the hype.

Milford plays in the front line every week. But let's throw the small guy who plays fullback in there instead. Dumb.

Too early, especially for such an important one . He is going to get alot of attention and as mentioned not a good bench option.

Honestly, Morgan and Milford are lucky they are going to miss these last two games. Queensland will get pumped and he'll escape the blame game and scapegoating that will come with the heavy defeats.

Queensland have done the same thing NSW have done over the last ten years. They let the commentary team make our team selections. He might play ok in the role but he hasn't earned his spot. Just like he hasn't earned the Dally M points he receives weekly.

That's exactly what has happened. And if they don't want Milf, how is Ponga a better selection to play utility than DCE?

I like Ponga in the 17, however I really do hope Kevvie uses him.
Poor Milf got what 15mins in game 1..? He needed to be brought on in the last 10mins of the first half to run a muck when we were on top, but wasn't and I hope they don't fail Ponga in a similar way.
Lets not forget Milf also saved a certain try in game 1, outside of that he wasn't given too much of an opportunity, but I do believe Ponga deserves a spot.
I just hope they use him correctly.
