FOOTBALL English Premier League 23/24 Discussion

In other news new Wolves manager Gary O’Neil is faced with the decision of his lifetime whether or not to spend big on the 4 million dollar Aaron Cresswell.

Put me out of my fucken misery already will you. Anyone know a good streaming platform for the Championship cause I will need to start using it in 12 months time.

In all seriousness I think we have the roots of mid table prem squad but just the stupidity of the clubs management to not spend even 25 million on just improving depth in a few areas could very well be the difference between getting relegated and staying up comfortably. Absolutely screwed the pooch over the last few years.

Yeah looks to be legit.

Brilliant signing. Can't believe we've actually shelled out for him. Could sort our mid for a decade.

Aye, Macca is 24, Szobo is 22 and Caicedo is 21.

Sorted.

Just need to let Max Kilman go and it's pretty much game over.

We will take him for $25mil if you need the cash.

Curtis Jones, Stefan Bajcetic and Harvey Elliott would like a word.

Big few weeks to go once Caicedo is done. If LFC can get their hands on a competent back up CB who can also play LB they're arguably in the title race.

Are we convinced Caicedo is that good? I mean, he's obviosuly good but that good?

Enzo $107m
Rice $105mil
Antony $85mil
Darwin $75mil
Hojland $75mil
Lavia $50mil

Probably not but in this market its about the right price for a world class player.

I mean, looking at mids, I'd still prefer Enzo, Rice or Bellingham for around the same price, but clearly he is a good player.

Brighton have done real well.

Rice fair enough, Enzo would be on par with Caicedo. Bellingham wasn't going anywhere else.

Brighton have sold MacAllister and Caicedo for about 145mil. Not bad at all.

Enzo was very good in a WC winning side tbf, and done well in UCL with Benfica. For a young age has played some big games.

Caicedo has done extremely well with Brighton in the prem though I agree.

Jude was absolutely only ever going to RM, but for a similar fee, if offered the 2 everyone is taking Bellingham.

You have to factor in wages though, Jude and Enzo are both on $300k/w+ . Rice wouldn't be far behind them.

Hahahahahahahahha 200+ million spent on 2 overrated midfielders in Caicedo and Fernandez. Hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

Thank **** I go for Wolves. Would rather 50 Cresswellls than them 2.

Make no mistake, Klopp was desperate for Jude. But the word coming out of Anfield at the time was £100 mill would have blown their budget and they had other areas to strengthen.

Grateful to have seen the kid play for us at St Andrews, incredibly talented footballer and a mature head on his shoulders.

Absolute theatre this Caicedo situation. Seems like Chelsea have eyes on Lavia too and have had a $55mil offer accepted. Liverpool are now in the mud, too late to go back in for Lavia and Caicedo has publicly humiliated them.

It probably wasn't conceivable that Chelsea would have $165mil sitting around to afford both players. The amount of haggling they've done over the Caicedo price would have to suggest they're also in some sort of FFP pain, at the very least on the verge of being in trouble if they sign both. You can bet the wages for Caicedo will be well over $200k/w and they're throwing in all sorts of other players to sweeten the deal with Brighton.

The Lavia deal is strange, if Chelsea get both he's effectively $55mil back up, with limited games available and at a club that has a history of discarding young talent. At 19yo that's an interesting move for his career development

If they announce him and parade him around Stamford Bridge before the game vs Liverpool this weekend that will be so cold 😍
