BBL06 Discussion

That innings from McDermott was just something else. He did not deserve to lose after that.

ONE WORD WOW:ihatethosestormplayers::biggrin::dealwithit:

Wow I am really impressed with McDermott, he has a huge range of shots and presents a beautiful full face of the bat.

Unbelievable batting. But he just can't get a run anywhere.

He played his first Shield game and One Day game for the Bulls and Heat in 2014.

Moved to the Tigers two years ago because he wasn't getting a go and has still only played one one day game, seven Shield games and two 20/20.

Last night will help but something is still making him not wanted.

Speaking of McDermott, what happened to his brother?? @1910

Last I saw of him was like 2014 when he was playing shield for QLD, he wasn't the best bowler going around, but he certainly looked like he had potential, any reason he just fell off the face of the earth?

Axed from Qld's contracted list and last I heard was playing grade at the GC.

Consistency has been his biggest downfall. He has even struggled a bit in the Tasmanian grade system. This super knock might be the start of something for him hopefully.

He looked so promising. His first innings in the Shield Final in 2012 was outstanding- the big wicket of Ponting and then six wickets in total for the innings.

Was the One day comp leading wicket taker in 2011/2012. Bulls' leading wicket taker in a Shield winning year in 2012. Won a title with the Heat in 2013 too and took 24 wickets in the first four BBL seasons.

19 games for the Bulls and 69 wickets at 25 at first class and 24 One Day games with 40 wickets at 29.

Lost his contract in 2015 and played for Wynnum last year- 23 wickets at 17.

Quiney, Petersen and Stoinis all out for duckeggs.

So, did he put a hair in someone's quiche ? Doesn't appear to have done anything wrong ON the field ...

I can understand taking Swepson to India. They obviously see something in him. Why wouldn't you the play him in the current 1 day comp v Pakistan.

Great innings from Ross. I was seriously slagging Burns off mid innings, shut me up , didn't he.
Agree about burns I was kinda hoping he would get out so someone else could come in, but he definitely turned my opinion around.

You can see Swepson grow with confidence every game. It's beautiful to watch. I can't remember him bowling a bad ball last night. Quality spell.

Great bowling performance really, The Stars have a pretty handy batting lineup and our boys really kept them very quiet.
I was also really glad to see Burns step up the plate with the bat as well..... we need him to fire now that Lynn is out indefinitely.

What performance from Ish Sodhi. 6-11 . I have never seen 6 pure textbook legspin dismissals like this before, not to mention a runout. Didn't even finish his 4th over. Beautiful, just beautiful to watch.

He was ripping them left and right, quality stuff.
