I know that the overwhelming opinion is that Cronulla will slide this year and it well may be the case but the facts are plain. They've lost key personel and so have we. They are still a mighty force and we must accord them the respect we would give any reigning premiers. There is absolutely nothing to suggest we will start as favoutites. Both clubs preseason form is patchy but they are at home. It will be a massive day for them. They will leave nothing in the tank.

This situation has never happened for them before and I suspect they will be ferocious. They will absolutely be out to make a statement and who better than us to do it against ? ( well maybe Melbourne ) I think, **** them and I hope we smash shit out of them but I have no doubt we are up against it.

I cannot wait for the season to begin but I'm not expecting a cohesive and slick team to run out, I just want to see signs from our guys. You know what I mean ? I want to see guys working for each other and that old Broncos ' I fucking hate losing ' mentality. Combos will come with practice but that pride has to be in evidence. I'm relying on WB to keep the faith, the standard and hope he's only half pleased at the end, not silent and thoughtful.

Was this from the interview on the news before the season launch? Cause He was asked who he thought was going to partner blair in the front row. And said the young guys all put their hands up over at the world club challenge but we also have sims who is class and it will probably be him.

So a confirmation of sorts.

I hope they do. I think Beale is a more established fullback than Holmes who so far in his career is just a class winger.

The Broncs should win this game easy.
 
All this talk of a revamped attacking structure, it's going to take a month or so to iron out the bugs. Until then, I think we are vulnerable.

Yep. I think it will be to their detriment scrapping Beale.
Can't wait to see how we go against the premiers Thursday.
They'll be a lot different without Ennis. Just need to target/smother Maloney. Hate to say it but he really is a class above Hunt.

Easy? Not sure about that.

They'll miss the direction of Ennis and Barba, potentially Holmes too.

Other than that, they've still got the superior pack, home ground advantage and an axe to grind after WCC. Parochial home crowd and the ref will do us no favours.

I think we're a good chance if we respond to the reality check Warrington served us, but it will be far from easy.
 
i definitely think that holmes should be on the wing instead of fullback..

Disagree. Not having a dig (respect you bro) but the Sharks are not the team we should be worried about. The other 3 teams we face first up are the real concern.

I still think JD will make a huge impact to this season though. An astute signing if I've ever seen one.
