14 is a year too late.

You must be living in NSW or QLD prior to your 13th birthday. If you haven't and your father didn't play State of Origin then you're not eligible.

And as said above, he played for NZ which means he will never be eligible either way.
 
If Qld won this series would he have backflipped

Well Mal certainly tried it on, so there must have been some part of the eligibility criteria that he met. Obviously after playing for NZ it's a dead issue, but I do remember articles about JT2 telling Mal no.

Well he did get a Fijian playing for Australia, so Mal would try anything for an advantage.

Yeah that was back in early 2012 when the eligibility rules were different.
