I wonder why Seibold couldn't give a definitive number? With Perese, if he's signed with the NRL squad, it leaves the Broncos 1 spot on the roster. Either somebody is making way or there's still some uncertainty over the Dearden deal that they can't straighten out until he returns from the UK.

There's still rumours around Dargan, Kahu and Bird as well

Wait, so did he sign for us, or did he sign for QCUP team? Original reports all said QCup team but I haven't really been keeping up with it. If everyone is fit I assume he wouldn't get a run anyway and would likely need 1-2 injuries to have a spot.

He signed with Redcliffe and until he's formally released from his Reds contract he can't sign a full time contract with us
 
So the media has an agenda....that's nothing new. They seem to have the knifes out for Bennett, which is no surprise considering the frosty relationship between both parties over the years. They are definitely painting Seibold in a positive light, no doubt to piss Bennett off. And who really cares if they are Bennett is gone now and he did not exactly leave gracefully. I certainly won't lose any sleep over it.

On a side note, I dreamt we had a slow start to next season. Lost our first two games. Our defence was good but our attack was clunky. We lost our second game to the cowboys 9-3.......what a strange scoreline.

Nobody is whinging. Just saying they're dishonest. But that's not really a surprise. The media didn't just shit on Bennett. They shit on the club and it's fans. By failing to give us a positive article and writing off our season numerous times. They shouldn't be forgiven so quickly because of some puff pieces.

the initial reports were that he signed with Redcliffe, but he get's one of the training spots with us

What do you think the go with him is? I guess we sort of need another winger after losing Pearson, but we have Kahu as well still, and staggs in the centres. Really keen to see what Seibold does with Bird to be honest. I don't know if he will keep Nikorima at 7... I think halves will either be Milford/O'Sullivan or Bird/Milford.

you've done nothing but whinge ...

where this club is concerned we will get one of the extremes ... either fluff pieces like we have been getting since Seibold signed or the hatchet jobs like during the coach swap and Lodge signing ...

looks like you've made you choice of what you prefer ... I, on the otherhand, prefer the fluff pieces
 
Well the Mole (lol) reckons we're still after Moses and will release Niko if we get him. Take that with a grain of salt.

If he can remember how to defend in League he could earn a wing spot. I can see us looking like this by round 10

Replace Bird with Nikorima if we lose him. The rumours of him going back to the Sharks aren't letting up despite it seeming like he will stay. Depends what Seibold wants. I can see him leaving him out and Bird requesting a release during the season as well. Maguire wants Nikorima and the Bulldogs want Reynolds back so there could be a spot at the Tigers for Niko. There's also Roberts to the Rabbits rumours but I am hoping they aren't legit.

One thing he has done is to win the Dally M Coach of the Year in his first year of first grade coaching and in his own right. Bennett did the same in 1987 but as co-coach with Don Furner also being awarded the Dally M. So let's wait and see if he wins one inside the next the four years, which would then put him ahead.

I'd prefer the media to not pick a side and just be honest. Their job isn't to lean one way or the other, or to attempt to derail our season year after year because of their agendas. Their job is to write facts. That is what I'd prefer. Asking for honesty isn't siding with Bennett or Seibold.

I like Seibold. His career path is similar to what I aspire to as a teacher. I know people very close to him and I'm excited about his future at the club. I don't care that he's using a whistle at training or that he did a two day course at Harvard. These aren't things he's claimed himself, but things the media have intentionally dishonestly represented. Not once have I said any of this is Seibolds fault. I am on his side. I am not on the medias side after years of putting up with their bullshit.
