Indigenous VS Maori All Stars

Why was he allowed to play ?? saw Achilles before the game and he plays anyway. Fuckin odd IMO

I have to be honest and say the game last night did not fire up my interest. So many stars but the game was ruined by the four quarters and the limitless interchange. I know it's a player safety thing but I still found the game too disjointed for my liking. The only pluses were it signalled the start of 2109 footy season and League (of some sort) was back on the TV.

Fifita went OK but Jimmy's defence looked same same as last year.

Player safety? I swear they're getting softer by the year.

Every year this game is a big anti-climax.

I've heard of planning ahead but that's ridiculous! :risas3:

On Ponga, for every good thing he did, he did at least 1 monumental **** up

He may indeed become a very special player one day, but he has a lot still to learn, and the problem is media and commentators sprouting on about how he already is a very special player can interfere in that development

Players thinking they have already reached the elite level and so don't keep trying to improve and therefore never go from "great" to "elite" ...... it's what I call Anthony Mundine syndrome ;)

Except in Mundine's case it was him telling himself how special he was.
