Round 7 Discussion

Another game where the Storm get a leg up from the refs.

That crowding penalty.. What rubbish.

That was bullshit. Any other team and it’d be called an error while trying to play it too quickly.

The Storm were offside all night but the refs were not wanting to blow it because the Storm were behind. But whenever the Storm were pinned the Warriors were penalised because they’re in front.

That crowding penalty is classic NRL ref corruption.

Melbourne got multiple crucial penalties when they were under the pump and when they made an error and it looked like they lost the game, it was instead called a penalty for crowding. That's not even to mention a few seconds before halftime where Melbourne screwed up another play the ball but it was called play on and they could have got a try out of it.

Melbourne were sleeping in the ruck, Cameron Smith in particular at least two occasions in the last 10 where he held on for way too long, not a peep from the refs.

Come on @Dexter, speak up. Do you still not see this shit? After last week now this? A successful Melbourne franchise is paramount to the NRL.

The refs performance in a Melbourne game was a joke? Well blow me down with a feather.

The NRL sell their bodies like some desperate whore to keep Melbourne relevant. It's as if the franchise is perpetually one sneeze away from complete failure.

Huh?? What are you on about ?

I've recorded this, so here is the incident in question.

Of most importance is the fact the Melbourne player dived to the fucking floor. That is textbook surrender yet the refs immediately yell LET GO LET GO. There's no way he's entitled to a quick play the ball when you surrender.

This is why a lot of people are frustrated with nrl. It's gone too far lately, they don't even try to hide the favouritism. Whether it's conscious or subconscious the storm get the 50/50 calls more often then not. They also get lot of situations dealt with lightly. We get that a winning Melbourne is good for the nrl but at what cost? It's gotten to the point where they would be losing more fans then they are gaining..

Did you even watch the game?

Of course but I'm not buying into the conspiracy BS. You hate them all you want pal . My opinion is it's over the odds.

I lived in Victoria in 2013, 2014, and the majority of 2018. In those 3 years I met a grand total of 2 diehard Melb Storm fans. The rest are just AFL fans that bandwagon them and will drop off the second they start being shit. It's deadset fucking atrocious.

So...just confirming that this rumour is a rumour.
