NEWS Reynolds out for about 12 Weeks

This is BHQ ... I've said before it's in our DNA
Just some of them, and we all know which ones they are. Honestly it would be best for their mental health to stop following sport.

I’m less worried about playing without Reynolds than I am about how we played last night tbh. I have been in the camp that Walsh and Mam having the keys to the team is much better for us. Those 2 will get a really good opportunity to mature over the next 12 weeks.

Jock Madden is a good young halfback who will now get the opportunity to play behind a good forward pack and a stunning backline. Let’s hope his injury is something that heals up quick.

Gutted for Harry...

But what can we do? Next man up.

Patty, Mam, Walsh - you guys need to step up now and take more leadership of this team.

We now get a early look at whether Madden is "the guy" post Reynolds...or not.

You know what? I think the kids gunna surprise a lot of people.

The injury may tamper this but Madden has looked ready to explode this year. I know we need to change our style and kicking is such a big part of the game but aside from that, Madden has strengths that Reyno doesn’t and one of those is speed. He could unlock our side if he is physically right to go.

I second this!

Without Reyno’s kicking game we really need to eliminate the bullshit highlight hunting - especially from our end. These constant injuries are horrible, but if they settle down and we find ourselves in 6th or better and full strength in September, we will still be dangerous.

Reyno will get 12 weeks to work on his assistant coaching gig.

He was going good even before he scored a couple of tries, for some reason people focus on tries as the be all and end all. They don't care about his long kicks or any of that, if the bloke isn't scoring or setting up tries, he isn't it, in their opinion. These people don't understand Rugby League.

We don't need Jock Madden to score tries or setup tries, we have plenty of other players in the team capable of that.

Sadly with how consistent his injuries have been this year, Reyno IS probably staring retirement in the face. When you can't stay on field for longer than 1-2 games without blowing a tendon or cramping up deluxe or blowing a hammy or having no end of troubles with a knee, you're in some grief.
....and groin

Yep. **** being prick teased all the time. He can't keep himself on the field.

Time to hang up the boots.

I still find it strange they decided to drop Adam’s weight over the off season in an attempt to minimise injuries. He’s been injured every game since. Forwards are getting bigger and stronger, running at Adam all the time.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but you have to take a minute and consider how Adam and also Jesse Arthurs are feeling this morning. We may be disappointed by the loss of 2 points and a shit game. For both of these guys the night was way, way worse and it doesn't get any better for both of them for the next couple of months having to watch the boys go around from the sidelines.

Reyno is a tenacious little bugger, I think this extended 'rest' will allow him to fully recharge his legs and his mental state and I have no doubt he'll be better for it come the end of the season when things begin to get serious. What a great 'in' to have just in time for the semis.

Faith and Belief in this team and sending positive vibes to both Adam and Jesse

Yes, thats right. A game managing half is whats required.

Doesnt need to be elite - we have elite players elsewhere.

Just a calming presence that can guide the team around the field and have a decent kicking game.

I think Madden can do that..

Rational thinking has a tendency to go out the window when emotion has taken over.
Can confirm, its why ive been trying to wait till the following day to post in the post game thread.
Im too worked up right after a game to leave emotion out of it after a loss.
So sleep on it, wait till next day, re-watch highlights and then give opinion.

The only thing that doesn't change after a sleep is my dislike for Klein and the 6 again rule.
