TPJ comes with some risks no doubt, if we were flying along you wouldn't risk upsetting the apple cart. But given the way things are looking it's pretty tempting tbh, Hetherington and Gosiewski are setting a pretty low bar.
If we do sign TPJ who of Hetherington and Gosiewski is going to miss out? Hetherington hasn't had a good year, and Gosiewski has offered very little but he does cover edge better than Hetherington.
They are way off with their stats then. At the end of round 8, 22 of the then 80 games (27.5%) a side had lost a back before or at halftime:

Whether it's Oates or someone else we bomb so many "certain" tries. Never confident when we have a clean line break and a simple draw and pass is all that's needed. Is this the basics Reynolds was talking about?
Wonder if Fifita missing out is a minutes thing, and having a back cover on the bench means Billy is trying to save an interchange somewhere for the middle?
Last year Fifita played 71 minutes in game 1, but that was when Gilbert was injured early. Games 2 and 3 he played only 49 and 33 minutes...
@BroncsFan I've been thinking the same, that game was probably pretty disastrous for our top 4 hopes. Can't see Sharks/Storm/Panthers/Roosters dropping too many games.
I'm glad Latrell and RCG aren't there. I think Suaalii will go well.
It's irrelevant now but man we would have a crazy advantage through the middle if Tino and Flegler were fit.
They do look tired and injuries play a part no doubt but there's plenty of sides decimated by injury. I think the style they play is a big factor. Ranking terribly across the league for possession, errors and ineffective tackles and relying on counter attack and long range scoring is gonna be...
I must be living in Bizarro world because I think it's the exact opposite and every one of those calls today was correct and has been consistently called that way for years.
In any case I can't imagine blaming the refs for an effort like today lol
Well I already explained Hopgood and for 35 minutes off the bench I'd take Welch over Jensen, i'd think he's more of an impact player. Better offloader, great at pressuring the NSW halves kicking game, more experience. He's had a good year.
Dunno who to leave out from Cobbo/Holmes/Tualagi but in the forwards i'd go:
8. Collins
9. Hunt
10. Cotter
11. Nanai
12. Fifita
13. Carrigan
14. Grant
15. Mofo
16. Welch
17. Arrow
I can't put both of Cotter and Hopgood in now that we're missing Tino and Flegler, i'd rather some bigger bodies.
