Not sure if there are many fans on here but a couple of points that are exciting / interesting:

F1:
Last race of the season and Hamilton and Verstappen are equal on points. No one else is even in the same ballpark but the battle between these two has been epic all year and it all comes down to the last race with the two of them qualifying 1-2.

F2:
This the point to really discuss because it is both credit and bagging out.

Aussie whiz kid Oscar Piastri is an out and out freak talent. This kid won Formula Europe in 2019, F3 in 2020 and now F2 in his rookie year with two races to go. No one has ever done this before, he is the legit next Hamilton.

Now to the bagging out, There was only one spot available in F1 next year, Piastri should be the automatic selection but no, there's a Chinese driver Guanyu Zhou who finished third and is massively inconsistent BUT because he is backed by a LOT of money, he got the one F1 seat available next year.

Also, because Piastri won F2, he is ineligible to compete again next year, so not only has he been shafted by not getting a seat in F1 next year, he is forced to take the year off and be the reserve driver for the Alpine team allowing other rivals to potentially get the jump on him for '23.

Fortunately, he is so good, a team will definitely pick him up in '23 but what a shame, there could have been two Aussie drivers in F1 next year.

As an aside, Jack Doohan (Mick Doohan's kid) is also a gun and will be in F2 next year on his way to the big time. Looks likely there will be two gun Aussie drivers in F1 in the years ahead succeeding Ricciardo.

Yea I'm an on and off fan of f1 (used to watch it as a kid a lot when Schumacher was killing it with Ferrari), but am pumped to watch this race. Potential history in the making for Hamilton. The 1-2 poll position will be interesting with the start too (wonder if anyone will try to take anyone else out...)

Nah he’s a good driver. Compare what he does with the car compared to Bottas when they’ve had to start down the grid. Hamilton is a 7 time champion for a reason.

Completely disagree. Hamilton is a dick head. But the way Verstappen conducts himself is embarrassing for himself and those who raised him. Dirty driver, whinger, arrogant and quite disrespectful (tbf Hamilton is most of those as well). If he just conducted himself in a respectable way he’d be fine but he doesn’t. If you ask Travis Head I think he has a good word in his vocabulary arsenal that you could use to describe Verstappen.

Never liked Verstappen, but last weekend his driving was a disgrace. Complete maniac on the track. As someone said, if he was driving back in the 80's or 90's, he'd probably be dead by now.

I think they need to look at place penalties instead of time. He got two penalties in the race that didn't affect his result. How is that a penalty?
