DCE seems to be avoiding criticism ........he isn't what QLD need as a half. I thought he was almost non-existent last night.

Bit awkward to drop the skipper I s'pose........

I'd probably give him another 2 games to prove himself. If not, Morgan should get a go in game 2.

What a gee up. No way was Hunt the worst on field

Even if it was true......that article is a bit fucken coarse.

Since when did the media start announcing a "worst player" award.

I thought he was the only player keeping Queensland in the contest. Put in that gem of a kick in for Chambers that deserved a much better result than it got (7 tackle set), threw a great offload that led a massive break for Ponga and put Chambers through a gap towards the end of the first half. In a game where his backs couldn't get him out of his own half, the only blemish I recall was that kick straight down Tedesco's throat that led to their second try.

But honestly everyone in that 1-17 deserves to be put on notice.

You do recall the full-time score ...yeah?

Yes, and I recall the first half where Queensland were still in the game and all those moments I listed.

It's really more than you can say for most players last night.

Personally, i hope we keep our spine intact for the next game and for the next few years.

Our forwards however, need a shakeup.

For mine, that's where we lost Game 2 .... zero go forward !

Just to rub salt into the wound, McGuire faces a one week suspension after Brad Fittler brought up his 'late hit' in his press conference.

Vision of it in the link.

Honestly, there was nothing in that tackle and it's become apparent that Freddy is bit of a whinger. Whined about the Wally Lewis medalist, whined about Hunt throwing Cordner's shoe and now this.
Absolutely.

McGuire definitely has some grub in him, but there was nothing wrong with the tackle whatsoever.

Meanwhile, Lino has no case to answer for intentionally kneeing a player on the ground.

Nothing to see here, except for the MRC maintaining their complete incompetence.

Why are all the media outlets having a cry over Will Chambers giving Saifiti a little tap?

I’m not joking when I say half of our issues would be fixed if we had someone better than Chambers. We were piss across the park but Chambers is just such a massive liability that it wrecks our entire defensive confidence.

Boyd, even if he were open to it, is so down on confidence that it would end up bad for both parties, I’d almost be considering Fifita or even Gillett moving there. Almost.
Will be interested to see how MBye goes in the centres on the weekend. I think he'd probably add more value than Chambers.

I'm with @Super Freak .

I turned a game off once, game 3 in 2000. It was my birthday, I was having a shitty day, just broken up with a boyfriend and the only hilight was going to be maybe QLD would get revenge for the Tallis send off after the clear knock on. but QLD were putrid, they weren't trying and watching the game just made me feel worse. So I turned that shit off. It didn't make me less of a QLDer, haven't turned a game off since, but some times for your own mental health you don't need to add fuel by watching your team be pathetic.

Yeah, this. It's hard to criticise his game last night when our forwards were just dominated and for the most part we were getting little impact from our backs.

If the media were pro nsw, they should talk up chambers as much as possible so he keeps getting selected. The guy is utter shit for origin

I would be more harsher on DCE if the forwards actually laid a platform and he didn’t use it.
Can’t do much when you arent even rolling up the field remotely

I find it weird when people get upset about fans leaving a game early or switching it off if it's trash. It's a strange form of gate-keeping to try and one-up others or make themselves feel like a martyr. If I'm at the game and the Broncos are getting thrashed, I'm sure as hell gonna get the early train home. I paid for my ticket, I'll go when I want. If I'm watching it on tele and my team is getting pummeled, you better believe I'm changing the channel or having an early night. If someone thinks that continuing to watch a thrashing makes them a "better" or "bigger" fan than me, good on them. They should give themselves a well earned pat on the back for their heroics.

Whined about Maloneys treatment while not mentioning ponga getting hit in the air. Your right he is a whinger especially after he wins.

I turned off at about halfway into the second half. Turning off at halftime down by 12 would be a bit premature for me.
That Tedesco flick pass in the pouring rain made me vomit in my mouth, and if I didn't have people over to watch the game was sorely tempted to abort.
