What an absolute muppet. The offence itself is basically nothing, but the blokes on solid coin and getting close to a very large raise, and still drives around an unlicensed unregistered car. Deserves a week for stupidity.

And the BS about not knowing your suspended, you get contacted several times by letter and phone.

I've never broken the law and lost my licence. I'd be even more careful if I was an NRL player under intense media scrutiny.

I said the act itself isn't bad, him as an NRL player doing it is moronic.

Dobbo is blowing up because the club 'lied' to the media when asked why Selwyn wasn't at training this morning.
I say good on the club for not letting the Media get a sniff of this before the club came out with a statement and let Selwyn go to court without media in his face.

On the charge it's a dumb thing most young people have done it even older people and alot don't get caught.
just be smarter with your actions your in the spotlight now kid not in the back streets of Cherbourg.
Ha ha eat shit Dobbo and have a fucking cry.

I find that a bit hard to believe.

You get several letters, including a notice of intent to suspend if you don't pay. Considering it's more than one fine, he would have got quite a few letters in the mail.
Unless you change address. Has actually happened to me before. Copped a one month suspension for unpaid fine which got my licence suspended and was unaware as letters had been going to an old address. It’s a very, very minor offence and the club is right to not suspend him.

Genuine question, what would have happened had he not had a licence? Just a larger fine?

They informed the integrity unit, they’re under no obligation to explain it to the media.

Correction, no NEED to explain it to the media, they'll make up the details anyway.

Media sucks.

Boo fucking hoo, Dobbo actually had to do his job for once? The poor widdle media got their feelings hurt because they were lied to. Must be hard for them as they never lie.

What a fucking sook Dobbo is and what a nothing story they are blowing out of proportion.

Easy to miss if they are camera fines and you have moved address without updating license. I’m not defending him but honestly who cares, Broncos don’t have to throw him under the bus to the press and say oh Cobbo yeah he’s attending court today. I’d do the exact same thing for my own staff.
