I'd definitely take him at minimum wage. We desperately need half depth next year.
The problem with Kev is tho he makes the depth the main freaking man and plays them all year

Absolutely

the Gamble thing is a prime example, there’s heaps of positive Broncos stuff that he talks about in that interview. (Their run this year, raising money for charity etc.)

But that’s not the focus here, is it?Focus is the leg frustration and Reynolds coaching.

Because the media are arseholes. And just want clickbait.

Wish there was a law where the media have to tell the truth. Murdoch's companies would go out of business.

Yeah like some idiot having it in for Billy Walters, you jump to his aid.
Well partly yes by mainly about the poster himself.
Please do not mention Billy Walters in this thread outside the context of him being extended. One of the forum staff gets all menstrual about it.

What lie was in that article you never actually read? FYI the media is not saying anything other than Tyson wasn't careful with this words. No one is calling him a **** over it. Just dumb for going public with it.

I wrote this long before the mainstream media (we are also a medium) picked it up:

Is Gorden Tallis "the media" or an ex-Bronco and mate of the coach?

“There’s no doubt in what Adam Reynolds said, that everything Kevvie tells him he reinforces. I played with Joey I played with Alf, I played with Kevvie, they’re coaching you all the time because Wayne was never there, Wayne wasn’t in earshot so they’re always telling you what to do, so I don’t know where those comments from Gamble have come from.”

What about Matty Johns?

“If I’m a coach, I want my players going to my halfback for stuff, because the coach talks to the halfback and the halfback takes it onto the field. Kevin Walters got Adam Reynolds to the club for exactly that reason. Now Tyson didn’t word it right. But that is no sleight on Kevin Walters. The best coaches I was ever coached by, they gave power to the seven."
"I interviewed Todd payten a month ago and I said how much power do you give your halfback Todd Payten and he said I give him all the power, that’s the way it is."
“They got Reynolds there for leadership and when a coach hasn’t got Reynolds in the team, he drives the team mad, that’s what leads to overcoaching, so you want to hear from your leaders.”
The point of all this is the various media form a conduit for conversation, not some biblical "truth" that's compelled upon you.

You might as well ask why Kevvie routinely lies to the media. But you don't need to because you understand why. So knowing that how can you expect the media to get everything right when everyone is lying to them? You can't. And that's why you establish the source, read their quotes, look for tell tale qualifying phrases like "expected," "set to" and "thought to," and you make your own judgement about what might be the "truth."

Can we bring Tass back? He’s not signed after this season... And maybe we could then release Staggs to a club that wants to buy his contract out.. Save a few hundred thousand dollars in the process.

I prefer people to be truthful, no matter what. If the truth hurts, so be it.

Gordie, Matty & anyone on foxsports etc, shouldn't have their voices heard anywhere.

Gordie is like a shock jock, saying anything controversial to get his name in the papers etc.

People want players to be truthful & when players like Gamble are, it's get the pitchforks out & burn them at the stake.

Over the bloody snowflakes.

It's sad that Kev can't fight his own battles without the other ex Broncos tossers defending him.

Settle down, Tyson. You’ll do fine at Newcastle

I think the word you’re after is “unfiltered” rather than “truthful.”

Ezra apparently had been playing with a busted shoulder and might need a recon in the off season

He`s a tough little bugger then .
Made watching the Broncos this season a helluva lot more interesting . Thanks Ezra .

That might mean more duck and drakes early next season in the #6 jersey ...

How about Mariner ? Is he hurt or just lower on the Totem Pole than Hoeter ?

Lower on the pecking order at the moment.

Interesting that Piakura is lower than Hoskings though

Kev and his gang seem to be treating this season in isolation .
Not playing a longer strategy .
ie this is our squad for 22 we will use them till its over . Playing guys who are leaving over stayers . Has surprised not only me .

Interesting that in the final* game of the rebuild year Kevvie has chosen to field five players (Martin, Gamble, Turpin, Hosking, Kennedy) who won't be at the club next season, and three who have yet to be extended (Oates*, Walters, Hoeter). And one who's in the contract doghouse (Haas).
