Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2023

Yeah I can't begrudge the bloke if he goes, he does leave a hole in the top 30 though - with his utility he can cover FB, halves, centre/wing at a pinch, he's been very valuable for us.

Seems like a lovely kid too, I wish him all the best wherever he goes.

Seriously he should go to the superleague and earn a shit tonne. He probably wants to play NRL but will earn double the money over there. I'm surprised that the lower clubs like the dragons, bulldogs, tigers, even the raiders have not thrown the kitchen sink at him

He's already been at the Dragons and I think the Tigers are ok with Bulla but the Raiders could absolutely use someone like him.

Heaps of attacking flair with limited capacity for the less glamorous parts of the game.

Not exactly true .
He doesn`t shirk hard carries . I complimented him for his toughness when he filled in for Walsh .

But , he said limited . Hey , this punctuation thing is kind of fun . Only problem is that my phone even rejects the notion . But , in that way it makes me feel more powerful in asserting my dominance over an inanimate object .

Sailor has come here and shown he's got both heart and spirit for the game and club. If he has signed the contract then I want nothing more then for him to fulfil it and stay here. I have plenty of like for his game and I'm sure he will continue to develop with us.

Would TPJ for a cut price deal and rebuild his career be viable? Could Kev, Carrigan and Haas keep him in line? He was cleaned out initially and moved on as dead wood with a silly contact value.

No on all fronts. It’s like getting back with the crazy ex that keyed your car during the last breakup and has even said they never even liked men to begin with

It's a no from me. Maybe he could be the boxing trainer but that would be it.

No... even if you got him back up to some form of useful... he'll then want a massive pay rise and mercenary his way back down to Sydney.

Crucify me, but hes beyond last chance saloon for sure. Which means he would be cheap. He needs to be managed for sure - WB could do it.

Would 100% take him on about 350-400k and let him box in the off season. He is good mates with the squad, and very good mates with Haas, and could be an absolute weapon off the bench with no pressure. TPJ as a 30-40min player could be special.
