It's actually decided by a slap fight between Ivan and Kev to decide which of their sons win it. Ivan has the reach, but I think Kev has more desire. I don't actually think Ivan likes his son.



Generally when I bet on the Broncos I lose but they win, due to my convoluted multis or anytime try scorer bets on unfavoured players (I put money on Pat for a few games straight but gave up too soon). So if anything this guarantees a Broncos win and no CC for Billy.

Was listening to the Bloke in a Bar preview yesterday on the way home from work and they were all falling over themselves talking up JFH and how he could stamp himself as the best prop on the game on Sunday by taking it Payne... and then next minute I saw this on Insta.

I feel like this will happen to Payne his whole career. He will continue to play as the best prop in the game week in and week out only for another great prop to put on some footwork against shit defence for a try like AFB and then everyone will declare that guy the best prop, only for Payne to show how stupid that call is the next time they play each other.

The key to beating Penrith is bringing high intensity AND maintaining it. Parra can do it because of their forwards but no one is better at it than us. Our strength can also be a weakness and that is how high octane we are.

If we turn it on which we have done in spurts against both Melbourne and the Warriors, even Penrith aren’t going with us. Basically, this result comes down to how well we play.

Our biggest issue is edge defence on the goal line.

I still dont have a huge amount of confidence on Staggs when defending inside the 20m... his 1v1 tackle is typically good enough, but his decision making is not always great.

Reynolds holds the key out on that edge... he likes to get up and in the opposition's backline to disrupt things and halt backline movements. However, if they get out to that edge and Staggs has to make a decision.. I get worried.

And I feel it's never a "forward A takes on and dominates forward B, then forward D dominates forward C" either. It's the whole pack dominating the other pack. Defence is a team effort, not individual. Look at what happened to AFB last week. Guy's been tearing it up but the Broncos pack just rolled over the Warriors and AFB couldn't do much.

If the Panthers forwards dominate ours then yes, Haas's meters will be nullified. Does that mean JFH dominated Haas? No, just that the forward pack was better than the opposition's pack.
