2024 NRL Injury Discussion

Small ankle fracture for Papenhuyzen

Same ankle he did last year. 4-6 weeks

So Manly probably lose their next three (Broncos, storm, Riff) which will be five straight losses. Hard to see them getting back into contention with Seibs at the helm after that.

Nathaniel Cleary hammy injury tonight.

Surely misses origin 1 because of it.

Only 2 games between now and origin 1 and he surely wont play next week and I daresay Panthers will pull him from origin duty because of it

Can we fake a few injuries on top of our actual injuries to keep everyone out of origin.

So, with Cleary being injured, do the NRL suspend him for a hip drop, knowing he's on the sidelines anyway? He's been off the field enough to likely rule him out for any Daly M contention, so the 2 week suspension ineligibility rule won't worry them.

They'll run it by Penrith first to get the ok whatever they do.

Drama for Penrith with Brad Schneider looking like he's suffered a PCL strain.

Be out for up to a month if confirmed.

Maybe - now hear me out - just maybe we need the penalties in the game instead of 6 agains to slow it down a fraction and limit all these injuries

Don't be silly ... If anything we need to find ways to speed the game up 😝
