We're fucked.

It will be 2012 all over again..

It is a bit disappointing that Taylor may leave, but Hunt and Milford are going to be the future QLD halves.

Obviously we're letting Ash go to free up cash space and/or boats for GI. It'll be announced any day now.

Damn, that sucks. But in reality with the way that Milf & Hunt are going, and with Kodi & Jayden being kept around, we're looking sweet for for Halves for the foreseeable future, hopefully Ash gets a run at another club and kills it.

IMO, it is a decision that will seriously come back and haunt us.

Oh well ... He will go to another team and give them the things our spine are currently missing

“Ashley is contracted to the Broncos until the end of the 2016 season,” Bennett said.

“However we do not want to jeopardise his opportunities.
“Because of his position and age, for the long term his next step is to be playing regular NRL and we cannot guarantee him that opportunity at this time.”

Sounds like he's all but gone.

Kudos to Bennett, could've easily stood in his way and hindered his growth for another season, but it was inevitable that we'd have to release him, hopefully he kills it at Manly / GC. I get the feeling he will.

This would surely increase our chances of keeping Jayden.

So Manly or Titans?

If he is smart, he would go to Manly.

Titans would be a bad move for him and could seriously hurt his development.

At least at Manly, he will be next to DCE and I'm pretty sure Johns is still halves coach there.

Right decision by the club, he's unlikely to crack first grade so it's better for him to go elsewhere. Will be great to see him crack first grade and see how he goes.

Just as this season was beginning to feel too good to be true...

This is a terrible decision by Bennett. Why would you release one of the best juniors in Rugby League when he's still got another year on his contract? How does it benefit the club?

It isn't in Taylor's best interests either. He isn't ready for a full season of NRL just yet and requires more seasoning at a good club. Sending him off to Manly or the Gold Coast will simply hinder his development and prevent him from becoming the player he's destined to be.

Oh well, can't get every decision right.
