He looked pretty uncertain that first over. Very nearly a few edges.

Missed 6 of first 18 balls. He was fairly conservative only attacking at 8%.

What a strange old Test.

Smith was so patient and organised in his approach, for a guy that was once a compulsive hooker he stayed away from it. They put guys out they dried up his runs and bowled at fifth stump. It was the slowest Australian 100 since 2010. Went against his normal play.

Lyon has been great. 50 wickets in a calendar year for the first time. They just have no idea and are stuck letting him bowl however he wants. They have so many left handers Lyon is just loving it- av 20 against the Lefties and 61 against the right handers this Test.

Australia bowled fuller today and not so short. Plenty of wickets but the 'Gabba has dried out and is now really a two or three day pitch.

Every one wanted him gone a few days ago

Don't know about everyone but will always be an element of he got 200 pick him, he got five drop him.
