Ryley Jacks to Titans

Guess we are stuck with Niko

We pulled our offer to him ages ago... We weren't going to wait to see if he won the Storm's halfback war...

Instead we signed the highly rated Roosters halfback SOS

I remember seeing MacDonald around the time of his debut and I thought he was going to be a future Origin player. Guess that didn't turn out too well.

He would have been in discussions this year. Don't forget, while a lot of the Qld side has no depth now, wing is not one of those positions with Gagai, Holmes and Oates all ahead of MacDonald. If any of those three shift position or are injured next year, MacDonald is probably in.

That said, Pearson is a great pick up for the Dragons, he'll hit the ground slidi...I mean, running next year I'm sure.

DCE has said that if Manly sign Neil Henry as coach, he's out.

Start praying that Manly are that stupid.

Addin Fonua Blake wants out too. We don't really need him but he's a decent player, would be a good buy for the Knights.

just because he leaves Manly doesn't mean we will be in any position to sign him ... we won't have the room to make him any sort of competitive offer

While you are right, he’s only got 3-4 years of his career left and his legacy really took a hit mid career. He has only just returned to the rep arena after being in exile for years, and he’s made a mil a year for 4 or so years.

Although it’s very unlikely, it isn’t impossible that he would want to play for Brisbane.

And we give Manly Jack Bird as a sweetener. Sounds like a good deal to me.

DCE doesn't give a shit about his legacy ... and even if he did, another club doubling our offer will over rule that

Yes. DCE's legacy is already set in stone. He will be forever remembered for going back on his word.

I don't really understand why anyone outside of GC care about DCE turning his back on them.

Are people as up in arms about Papalli back flipping on Eels??

I for one would welcome Cherry with open arms... he's a fucking gun halfback (probably the best in the league at the moment) with every tool in his bag not to mention solid defence.

His inclusion in the Aust team has me hoping he's now the preferred qld halfback next year, which to me is probably our best chance of beating NSW.
