Probably because those 9’s are willing to accept a backup role. Macca wanted to be the main hooker, probably the reason why he chose to go to the Knights who had an opening.

That’s the thing people are overlooking when they criticise Seibold for not keeping Macca after Turpin got injured.

If a player isn’t willing to accept a backup role, then there isn’t much point keeping them. That’s a recipe for disaster.
The thing is though Brisbane would have had to agreed to a release of Macca.
He can’t just walk out on the club, as he was still contracted.
I wouldn’t at all be surprised if we are also chipping in for a large sum of his contract, whilst he is playing for a rival team. Now we are looking at signing an older experienced, backup 9 whilst already paying 3 hookers in paix, Turpin and most probably Macca.
Shit like this is why we are laughing stock of the league..

We should be trying to get Reuben Cotter from the cowboys on loan. He’s ready to play first grade but is stuck behind Granville and Robson there.

I think another inexperienced player in a key position is exactly what this team needs.

Daily telegraph reporting that we have enquired about getting Isaac Luke from Saints, and also made Enquiries about Mitch Rein and Nathan Peats from the Tits.
Rein is the only capable Dummy Half of those three, but realistically he isn't close to a gun and at best is only marginally better than Turpin.

Peats and Luke are honestly bottom of the barrel stuff.

Haven't there been ongoing tensions and issues with the Dolphins?

why? we have heaps of feeder clubs, we don't need the Dolphins.
Could it be more about pathways where Redcliffe juniors may be more inclined to join warriors rather than Broncos??

Like the previous Logan connection with Canberra that led to them getting Milf, Papa, etc.

If that's not the case and it only impacts on the feeder club situation then it may not be the end of the world.

Wouldnt be surprised to see somebody like Jordan Grant end up at the Warriors.
