Okay so we are 18 rounds in and our spine is still seriously struggling...
I know I have been very critical of Darius Boyd this year, but as a captain he really isn't standing up at all. This has become a weekly occurance for him to show very poor levels of effort, and essentially no leadership.
For the Broncos to be competitive next season, Darius needs to step down as captain, and move to the centres/wing, or retire completely.
Similarly, Nikorima needs to go back to a bench utility role, or be removed from the squad. He has some good moments in attack, but he is just such a huge liability in defence and allows far too many easy metres down his side, and often easy tries as well.
To think we have Boyd locked up for another 3 seasons on $750k a year honestly makes me feel sick. Based on stats (running metres, try/try assists, linebreak/linebreak assists) he is arguably the worst first choice fullback in the comp this year... and likely the third or fourth most expensive...
