I'm guessing tongue was planted firmly in cheek here?!!
Maybe pragmatic spending then... the owners have definitely put a strict budget on transfer spending.

Sancho and Varane in one window is huge outlay for the bloody Glazers!!

Looks like he's returning. Good for Utd fans. I wonder how his 36yo legs will go in the EPL?

Plenty of bodies to rotate at striker with him, Cavani, Greenwood & Martial. Certainly won't need him to play every week, nor play 90.

Martial is trash but Cavani and Greenwood are definitely decent options to have. Suppose you've still got Rashford to come back as well.

He's 36 but he's still fit as **** and in great shape. Despite his age, he's still a player that can win you games.

It's a good step in the right direction from United. I think they still need a good solid midfielder that can dominate the middle but despite not having that, I can see them winning more games now that Ronaldo is on board.

Its a game changer him signing there. Pushes them closer to being title contenders.

Thing i dont get is how the hell can United spend so much money and still be FFP compliant. Seems the big six in the Premier league are still playing by by their own rules. They should all have been fined and deducted points for the shit they pulled with that European super league stuff. Disgusts me how they get away with it all.

Bring on the Super League IMO. Would have been awesome for RL and would have been awesome for football. Big games every week. The league seasons have become stale. Just need to add promotion and relegation and we good.

Cant agree at all. It might be good for people who are more casual watchers of the game, and in some countries its probably appealing but in the case of England its never going to get backed, it would be too detrimental for the game. Its a league to give a select few clubs a closed shop with no risks. No relegation, no consequence for failure and they tie up loads of cash. Its an awful concept.

It will never get backed in England, as we saw last time. The players, even at the clubs who wanted to break away, hated the idea, the fans hated the idea and the backlash was immense. People will probably think otherwise, but even with the money on offer, players wouldnt be that keen on playing for these clubs when they would be deprived of playing in other competitions and National teams. The game in England is still incredibly entertaining and full of drama. The only things wrecking the game at the moment is the inconsistencies with FFP and VAR.
