No. He's acted impeccably over the whole shit situation he was born into. From what I can see Kevvie and the club have circled the wagons around him and that's a big part of why he's stayed.

I've been joking with the guys at work for years that he just needs to find his angry button on the field to go to a whole other level.
The back end of this season there has been some real venom in his runs. I think he's finding that angry button. I want to see him level JFH and Leota on Sunday.

How can you spin this into something sinister?

It’s more showing them that no matter what’s going on in your life, you need to keep working hard and chipping away, and if you do things will fall your way. FMD there have historically been some shit takes by members on here, but this up in the grand final for shit takes.
About the only place I can see he goes anywhere near what is alleged is this:

If you read it in context, he appears to be referring to the entire family. Why is that improper? It's a no-win situation for everyone with Payne's family. The journos want to bring it up because it creates the exact outrage that we are seeing here, but in this case the outrage is justified. Payne is allowed to hope for the best with his family, he doesn't need to be leading the cavalry to burn his mum at the stake to agree that she has done some awful shit. But for the rest of us, who do our best to not be horrible self-entitled humans, we would prefer to not hear about anyone wishing her well.
