Visual representation of our likely depth for next year.

Have highlighted in red players who may not be here next year (TMM, Hoeter currently unsigned... Niu may leave), I'm assuming Arthars isn't coming back.

Can see from this chart that if we do pick up any cheap veterans or T&T guys then we are lightest for depth in outside backs (losing Lee, Mead, possibly others) and second rowers.

Otherwise, pretty deep and versatile core squad moving forward next season.

Arthurs is coming back so that gives depth to right centre.

I feel like unless picked up by another team Hoeter will probably get an extension, he can also play right centre(he did last week for Seagulls) and played a game on the left early in the year for the broncs.

Badel reporting that Turpin won't be offered a new contract.

The Knights are also no longer interested

Kevvie says:

“At the moment, there is nothing for Jake with us for next year unfortunately,” Broncos coach Kevin Walters said.

“The reality is it was going to be hard to keep Jake.

“We have Billy (Walters) and Cory Paix in our squad at the moment, so as much as you would love to keep all your players, with the salary-cap it’s difficult.

“’Turps’ has played some great games for the Broncos and he is good at those little effort areas, particularly in defence, but with our roster, we don’t have any spots left for the hooker position.”

Walters said the Broncos are happy to honour Turpin’s existing deal in the run to the finals.

“Turps wanted to try and get more game time at another club to secure something for next year,” he said.

“He felt it was hard to secure a contract somewhere else if he wasn’t playing NRL here.

“It (Turpin leaving immediately) never eventuated in the end, so we were happy to hang on to him and we’re happy to honour his deal for this year.”

Ben Ikin says

“Jake is a good consistent player who is very well respected by his teammates,” Ikin said.

“You can see how much he stiffens up the middle defensively when he is out there.

“Over time he has worked hard to get more in his game creatively.

“He asked for a release earlier this year, but since coming back into the side he has done a good job.”

Peter Parr says:

“Our recruitment manager Clint Zammit tells me we have some room to move in the salary cap but we won’t be signing Jake,” Parr said.

“He is a wholehearted player but his name hasn’t been mentioned to me at all, so we have no plans to sign him.”

We have no plans for Jake but we are going to give him games ahead of Paix for...reasons.

Paix has been ordinary since he came back from injury.

so my guess is it's to give him an opportunity to regain his form, by playing bigger minutes with less pressure.

Pretty sad news tbh. Not that we aren’t re-signing him, I’m wrapped with that but that no one else is interested. He really works his ass off and gives his all, he even captained the Brisbane broncos. Wouldn’t blame him for thinking that he had the hooker roll locked down for the next 10 years but now not even the knights are interested.

Brailey is an 80 minute hooker who is far better than Turpin. The Knights were never interested beyond this season. He would be good minimum wage depth for some clubs, I think he'll find a deal, even if it's a train and trial.

If Turpin wants a next chapter in his NRL career, he needs to offer more from dummy half.. it's as simple as that.

We need more than Billy's offering too, but that doesn't seem to matter.
I agree with you but at this given stage there's no real person to offer the position to. Mozer is still at least 1 more season away and Paix isn't given enough time on the field in my opinion. Patience is all we can have and belief that our head team has a plan.
