Rogers was very solid but want Madden back in next week

Do we see Mozer next week?
Someone mentioned in another thread that Harry Grant style hooker would get our forwards pumping through the middle. I really hope in future seasons Mozer can do that for us. I know Mozer isn't ready for full time first grade but, could this be his chance to get a proper taste of first grade if Billys out?

With how many injuries we've had and how poorly we have played at times, to be only 1 win behind 2nd place on the ladder is pretty good 10 rounds in.
One of Storm/Sharks are going to drop a game this week.

The greatest player in the history of the game ever if you don't count state or country games /s - injured his hammy so the riff are very beatable for a few weeks and are facing Warriors then Sharks. So may drop one or both of those. We're right in the mix.

Now, to fix our defence.

Happy for the win. I thought Willison is really coming along and makes a great impact off the bench. Much better game from Walsh. Minimal mistakes for a try assist and a try. Him taking on the line a bit was great to see.

The problem with our defence is that on many, many tackles nobody goes low and we let the attacker stand for either a quick play the ball or a late offload. Whoever our defence coach is needs a kick up the arse and needs to get the tackling bags out where everyone especially Haas needs to practice tackling from the hips down.

Thought our new 7 had a great game and being a bigger body really helped a few times when defending on our line.

A big **** you to Sutton who obviously had the Eels in his footy picks for this week and an even bigger **** you to the Fox commentary team and especially Mick Ennis. After the loss to the Chooks last week Ennis was all smiles and cracking jokes after the game, this week it looked like the wanker had just left a funeral.

I don't know what Fox was like, but nine were sucking off the Eels like they were the Panthers
Gross..... Fox was basically dumbfounded at how we were leading the game. Sung the Eels prasies about dominating the middle of the field, possession and offloads - but just couldn't bring it together. Missing their key play makers apparently. Adam apparently doesn't suit the narrative tonight.

Hardest stretch of our draw too!

Really not a bad performance to be honest. It was a gritty win with solid defence at times. The referee was pathetic at times. We missed alot of tackles but our defence was still really good I though apart form the abysmal miss from ezra.. much much improved from last week

I feel like the biased against us is going to get worse and worse as it dawns on the Sydney folk that we’re a really good football team.

Willison has to be the best bench impact forward in the comp right now. We get so much from him in that role. Teams just dont seem to have any answer to him after dealing with Haas and Jensen.
Honestly one of the most impressive first few games I’ve seen from a middle. Reminds me of Haas’ first few games except Haas never had the aggression to drag the opposition forwards backwards 5m every other tackle

For mine:
1. Walsh did play conservative and level headed game. Looked ready & prepared for contact. Good to notice that.
2. Wish to see vintage Oates with less errors.
3. Our right edge is gelling together greatly.
4. Our middles came into the groove n the 2nd half. More so when Payne came on for his 2nd stint.
5. Payne changed the momentum on our favour with the start of his offloads which soon Patty & Willison followed suit.
6. With Adam’s loss, this period is a golden opportunity for the likes of Ezra, Walsh, Cobbo & Mariner to shine and boy, they excelled. Hopefully they continue their trajectory and excel at their game.
7. I don’t want to jinx it but I like Kev’s bench rotation today especially giving Patty early shower.
8. Given we’re heading into Original, hope Pattys workload is managed astutely from here on given we now have Jack.G who can play middle.
9. Happy to give Billy some rest and eager to see what Mozer can can do from next week on. My expectation is that he looks great in this side.

All in all, nice way to bounce back from last week. Need to continue the same from here on.
