I'd also like to point out for their last try, on Coates' second kick, their #18(I think?) was offside, and one of the two pressuring Walsh when he fumbled and knocked on the ball around his ankles. Should have been no try, Broncos penalty. They didn't go back that far to look but the replays were clear.

The number of 6 again's they were rewarded with vs us was disgusting. They were offside all night, called as such, but zero action taken. Yet we gave away how many offside penalties? The short dropout went 10m. Carrigan's was not a hip drop. Hughes with no case to answer coming in as 3rd man and hitting exposed ribs with force. The list just goes on and on and on. Beyond atrocious officiating tonight, I'm beyond angry.

So why was Meany not sin binned for his push on Herbie ? It was a professional foul. Why say play on and then call back a certain try? So refs can change their decisions when they want.

Why was Hughes not binned for his third man in dog shot.?

It‘s games like this that add to my ever growing dislike of the way the game is going.
In the 72 minute we were robbed of nearly 10 seconds of play as the ref signaled time off because the Storm was pissing about in the scrum but it never did stop and he then signals time on and nobody says boo. Those 10 seconds could have been crucial. It’s just so ameturish at times.

Everyone did themselves proud really. Selwyn has the yips but worked hard.

The only player who was truly poor was Capewell. He has a lot of good will at the club but he really is having a terrible season. His discipline is awful. Has a bit of Boyd/Glenn about him but it doesn’t get as mentioned because we are winning.

Play him off the bench and bring in Piakura or Flegler at second row

That was a wild and crazy game, not dissimilar to many games on display in today's version of Rugby League. All Melbourne in the second half and they always looked more likely. The Broncos were lost without ARey. He and Paddy will be missed next week.

Why would Carrigan be gone next week? Was clearly not a hip drop.

I’ve not seen kevvie react like that in a post match presser. He was pretty smart with his words and without calling out the ref, he made it known there should be questions asked.

Ruck infringements 1-6

There’s just no way you’re going to win a footy match with those stats.
the big one that stands out is the ruck infringements. Melbourne slow the play the ball down so fucking much, but as soon as they’re in possession and want not even a quick play the ball it feels like they get a six again. It’s just fucked. No penalty for Walsh getting taken out either early in that second half when Ezra put a bomb up. Hughes third man in, play on. Harry grant finger to pattys eye, play on.

The boys dug real deep tonight. A lot to take out of that, but it’s still super disappointing that we can never get over the storm/refs.

We are nowhere near premiership material. We can go on a little winning streak beating the shit teams but when the big dogs come to town (Storm, Souths etc) we crumble and fold like the weak bitches we are. Until this somehow changes, we will NEVER beat the Storm again and we definitely won't win another premiership again.
