Roosters beating Penrith would be really nice, give us outright first for a couple of weeks.
That’s why I got in there quickly with the Ladder @Kimlo. At least for another hour, we’re on top! Don’t forget, PenRiff have had 2 byes 😏

But it's not his strength. Oates skillset isn't throwing a 5-6m pass while at full speed. If he throws it and misses the mark, he is scolded by Kevvie.
It was in his capability to get that out imo, I understand his ball play is not his strength he is essentially a Prop but he had time.

though being a right handed player on the left I can see his instincts saying otherwise.

It’s OFFICIAL. Billy Walters in no longer “Daddy’s Special Little Guy” or “The coaches son”. He is Billy Walters, the Broncos #9.
He basically isn't a 9 at all, Walters has no speed and acceleration to make breaks. I wouldn't have him in this 17 at all if I was the coach. Walters is getting way too many minutes and we get no real momentum with him on. We didn't turn things around tonight till Smoothy come on and I was pretty impressed with Smoothy. Only made that kick but the rest was great.

Piakura is an example of a great football department in action. Well done to everyone involved in getting him ready for first grade.

He's been a work in progress and many of us (me included) didn't see him turning into a good player but these past couple of weeks he's really changed my mind. Credit has to go to Kev, I can't think of a player in the squad who hasn't improved and that's usually a good sign that the coach is quite good.

It's not the point. We have enough blokes in the team that only think attack. We were struggling to complete sets, and just defended another set on our line. Absolutely right in not throwing the pass.

Look I think we just have to agree to disagree on this one, the end result makes it less relevant to actually do it though.

Another fan who sees one side of football. Billy was huge tonight and is easily our best 9.

Knights were definitely up for this game and we looked like a team begging for a break.

I had forgotten that we were playing a knights team off the back of their 2nd bye, so they were fresh coming into the game and likely spent the entire week focussing on this game and where to attack us.

Been a great effort by the team to get through 15 weeks straight without a bye and put ourselves into an excellent position heading into the back end of the year.

Even in this origin period we're 3 from 3 so far with two byes coming over the next month... the boys should be fresh.. need to find some rest for the origin boys as well though

Bloody hell, I was at work but looking at the thread it looks like I missed out on another high blood pressure game.

Looking forward to watching the replay.

and BHQ would also be calling for his head

when ever Mam passes it wide and it goes to Herbie not Walsh I feel dejected honestly.

Herbie was hot garbage tonight. His defensive reads can be very ordinary. He is very replaceable.

This. I agree with most, we will miss the “other” Herbie. NOT the d!ckhead that was out there tonight. The old Herbie that thinks he plays both centre and winger. He used to do this in the past where he simply refused to pass and run away from any support. If he keeps this up, good riddance. Mariner will be taught to play for THE TEAM.

He kills more opportunities then he makes... i think it will look like an error for about 10 weeks of next season but will prove very, very smart in the end that we let him go, especially for the price he got

I don't know why no one in the team/coaching staff pull him up on it though. It's so obvious and easy to fix. He's strong and fast. Even if he doesn’t/can't pass it, he can make decent meters by running one on one with his opposite (similar to what Staggs does), instead of running inside into a billion defenders and slowing momentum.
