TPJ has given away so many penalties in his time here with reckless tackles like that. I can understand that he wants to put a big shot on, but after all these penalties you'd think he'll start to learn to slow down a bit and wrap the player with his arms.

The downside to having players with that type of aggression is that they are toeing the line so often that sometimes they get it wrong. It's just one of the things you have to accept when you want aggressive forwards in your side.

People have been calling for an enforcer for years, we now have one and he should not change one bit.

I for one don't want a Tariq Sims . He can still be super aggressive , like he was against the Cows, and not spend time on the sideline.

You can't judge players on Penalties given, otherwise Moloney is the worst player in the game.

Having a really aggressive player in your team helps fire up confidence and that is everything in this game.

He shouldn't Change at all.

Is it just me or has TPJ seemed to of put his hamstring issues behind him.

I would have fought the charge by arguing his new found confidence in his legs has resulted in uncontrollable sudden bursts of speed. He was off balance and that human speed bump was the only thing that could stop his legs pumping.

In all seriousness the guy should continue playing Tavita ball. He got it a few inches wrong. He plays and recently signed with the Broncos so we know his only option is to take the charge or sit out for two games. If it was a golden boy like Jake Turbo the media would be saying he is a good bloke and he tried to pull out thats why he got off.

Aggression is so important. Tavita will get better with how he uses it I am sure.

Seibold said he might be returning through Wynnum Manly. He said he is undecided on whether Dearden will come straight back in or return through ISC.
He's been spotted training in a bib, which suggests he's not in the team this week.

Could use it against Jesse Bromwich.

The thing is that you'd struggle to find any Penrith fan who wouldn't prefer Maloney or whoever giving away less penalties if possible. You can still be super aggressive, you just gotta be a bit smarter a bit it.

Yep ... though TPJ was hardly done-by with that suspension. The NRL have basically changed the definition of "careless" to include "being aggressive and playing within the rules". The guy's head (Sami's) was about knee height for goodness sake!

What's a player to do now? Come in gently with the first thought of "Hey ... don't hurt this guy even though he's standing still after catching the ball".

The NRL is now a place where 9/10, if an opposition player spends longer than 3 seconds on the ground after a tackle, you'll get penalised.

I’m going to this game, I have never witnessed the broncos defeat the Storm live. That’s a 0% broncos victory where I’ve been in attendance since 2006. (Didn’t make it to the GF).

Feel free to blame me alongside the other usual suspects.

You will be overcome with emotion this time. The Storm never go down without a fight but our boys will be up for it. They don't give a shit what the experts say and the youngsters are listening to the old heads. Boyd, Glenn, Macca, Gillo all learned exactly how much attention and credence a player should give to the predictions and criticism.

They'll say that they've heard all this before and it's worth a piece a shit. They'll say that because WB led by example when it came to handling the noise and those valuable lessons will be passed on.

I think I'm coming around to seeing the value in keeping Boyd and Macca around until the end of 2020. With a pinch of luck and an even spread of penalties I can see a win.

Our current style of football is perfectly suited to beat the Melbourne Storm, plenty of offloads and unorthodox play. Losing Pangai Jnr is a worry for me because he is currently setting the standard for this type of play. However I still think we will get the better of them this time as long as our defence holds up.
