We're totally losing him to Origin.

It's inevitable, but I'm not worried. We won't be the only side to be losing players in that period, and it isn't like we don't have a few options that could play fullback in a depleted side. Herbie, Mariner, Sailor, Arthars, they could all feasibly cover the spot in the absence of Walsh and Cobbo.

I hate to be negative but that was a disgraceful way about going about playing against an 0-4 team. They take the easy way out every week and try and put the game to bed and it always comes off cause we are versing diabolical sides but they never learn there fucken lessons. They play with such an undeserved arrogance and it looks scrappy, ugly and cheap which is really disappointing this is a team that will get themselves deep into this year off this disgraceful crap they think is ok to chuck up. This team doing what they can do without putting any effort in should be $1.05 to win the premiership if they actually put in a well played game but they are just playing cheap footy and at the end of it note that this poor footy is what they are chucking up and then doing **** all about it week in week out. Nothing will change next week guarantee and I hate to be negative but **** me this is gonna end horribly this way. I am a very harsh critic of the way we perform so I don’t expect everyone to think as strictly on the game as I do but I don’t think we are trying as hard as we can and I don’t think we are playing remotely anywhere near what we can and I’m sorry I’d rather my team be half as good and be proud of there week to week efforts than to watch this rubbish that a group of very special players chucks up. It’s disheartening when on the otherside of town there is a team who play well above what they should be chucking up every week. We are levels off what we should be and that’s great if they pull there heads in, but if they don’t, this premiership crap that gets spoken about every two minutes by everyone but the people on this forum is a pipe dream. Sorry to be negative but I don’t look at that result overly favourably when we hear the same shit after the game and they do nothing about it.

When someone opens with “I hate to be negative”, you just know it’s going to be one of the most negative things you’ve ever read.

In games like tonight the best teams improve by making sure they don't ignore the things they should have done better even after a good win. Its how you keep improving your game and i dont think its a negative for anyone to pick up on that. As long as the things that get picked up on are constructive criticism you will always move in the right direction.

We're totally losing him to Origin.

I'm not worried about that, the more big games for our guys the better for experience and the start we've made to the season now means we can have a bad origin period now in terms of losses and still come back firing in the back end. We now have the luxury of being able to give players more rests than they otherwise might have had.

I didn’t read this entire block of words but I got the gist.

the tigers were horrendous. We get into a grind with them and it’s because we’ve played down to their bad level. We put 40+ on them, we probably should have put 60 but it wasn’t important. What is important is our defence, we absolutely defended our asses off and they only got one assy 50/50 from a kick, and a scoot and score when the game was well and truly over.

take a breath bro.

fake news
After a game like that, otherwise I do like to be a realist and the real news was is that was a stinking pile of shit from a group of underperforming blokes who have chucked up the same cheap rubbish 3 weeks in a row. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows and I get we don’t win games but that magnitude often but the points we scored were soft, our defence wasn’t amazing and our attack looked as about as rythmical as a 3 year old playing piano. This was against an 0-5 team it’s all well and good if that’s not the same shit we chucked up the week before but that is not the case and that was not the case the week before that as well and now as time goes on that cowboys win doesn’t even look that impressive. This is a group that need to stop reading headlines and playing like a group of heroes and knuckle down and work hard cause they have a unique situation where nearly every quality team from last year has shit the bed and the premiership is there for the taking, they will look back on this year very negatively if they don’t try as hard as they can to claim that. At the end of the day that’s all I ask for is they try as hard as they can and I can’t say that. It is lazy and cheap footy that they think they can get away with because they do. I am a very harsh critic of performances and after the game usually ease off my strict review of the game but this is a group that clearly aren’t learning from there poor ways.

I dont think its a given we lose Walsh yet. If Ponga is fit Billy will pick him for game one. At the moment, the only 3 certainties are Carrigan, Capewell and Haas.

I've got no idea what's going to happen for the rest of the year and I've got no expectations, but **** I'm enjoying watching us play after the shit show over the last 3 or 4 years. Are we perfect, no, but we are miles ahead of where we've been as a team.

For those being negative, just fucking enjoy the ride for **** sake.

Another great win. The scary part is that we can play better. Cut out some of those mistakes where we try and score off every half break and we will really tear one of the good teams apart. I'm really hoping we can put it all together on the day we play the Storm!

Haas has just gone to another level this year. Same with Flegler. When they are both on we are just dominating opposing forward packs.

I'm not a Billy Walters fan but to give credit where it's due he had a good game tonight.

Credit to Arthars, really stepped up in the absence of Oates and shown he is a first grade regular winger. Deserves to be re-signed for the future.

I actually think if we keep Oates he's on his way out. We wont be able to sign him on a lower end contract this time around and there will be other sides who will probably give him a better shot at playing first grade. I get the feeling if we do keep him to play right wing instead of Cobbo when he probably moves to the centers, we end up losing Mariner. Going to be a delicate situation.

And Cobbo, regardless of how posters on here feel about him, he was first winger picked last year and he will be again this year.

There is a lot to hate about this post but I think what I hate the most is you wanting them to get into a grind with the Tigers. Not only does that invite them in but I can guarantee if we grind out a 24 20 win against the Tigers you are in here being negative saying “We can only beat last place by 4? These guys are pretenders”.
