Right now, I’ve got concerns with Reynolds seeing out this season let alone 2025 as well.

Last night we were up against the Tigers but what happens if that last 15 minutes occurs with us neck and neck with Penrith or even behind?
That is a worry but we’ll cop 2025 on the chin when we win the comp this year. Reynolds has been unreal but for this team if we’re full strength with Madden in the 7 we will give it a shake still.

That’s crazy. Walsh had cramps. He’ll adjust his diet and be fine. No coach can carry a back on the bench unless they can contribute in another position.
Walsh goes down with cramps, or is hurt, nearly every game. Oates is a second rower on the bench, but will inevitably cover a back. Not ideal, but we're out of options. Kevvie knows this but took a gamble last night. Thankfully, it was a against one of the weakest teams in the comp.

Next week will be a lot tougher, especially with a third string 6. Walsh will have to carry some of the 6 role.

I think some people are forgetting that we usually have Cobbo on the field, who is a more than handy FB replacement if Reece does go down. Peeks slips out to centre and then we're stuck with the 2nd row hole again, but that's in at least some respects coverable. Definitely agree some of our benchies need reps at 2nd row, surely Hetho would be first cab off the rank there.

You been watching Walsh's kicks? It deadset sounds like he is booting the stuffing out of it. We are fine with him at 1 doing what he does as basically the best player in the game. His kicks go miles, massive boot on him.

After Reynolds, ezra and madden, the next man up would be rogers. I am not sure how he has been going at qcup.

I know sailor has the ball skils for a half and kevie would be tempted to try him, but his frontline defence is pretty terrible, and I would be prioritising defence, as we can get points from other players.

Skimming through the thread I feel like basically everything has been touched on already. The only thing I’ll add is, for the first 20 minutes I felt there was something missing that I couldn’t quite put my finger on and then I realised it was Cobbo.

Point being, Cobbo really has a presence on the field that I probably don’t fully appreciate until it isn’t there.

I thought Staggs really stepped up in Cobbs' absence too. Staggs has been going really well anyway but last night was in everything and it is such a shame he will probably be suspended.

His return runs from the kick is invaluable and I noticed it lacking last night too.
He runs hard and strong on kick returns and has a wicked step and fend as well.
Cant wait till he is back and raising my blood pressure with his dangerous and risky runs down the sideline.

What cobbo has been better in doing with his hit ups is, if he has not been busting the line/breaking a tackle, he had been trying to find the ground on his front and get a quick play the ball.

Oates is not a backrower. He’s just pretending to be to get a game. Walsh doesn’t go down with cramps as often as you suggest.

Yeah it's an exaggeration to suggest Walsh does nearly every game, this was the worst by far, but it's not week in and week out.
