We don't have anyone that can kick goals. We could install wheels on them and secretly move them towards the ball when it's kicked, but they'll still miss.

I was actually thinking during the middle of the game against Manly.. "It's almost at the stage where we just play a specialist goal kicker."

Give Marmin a crack.

Wouldn't that involve using interchanges just to kick goals?

I don't think he is even in the picture for a debut. He has been killing it for most of the season.

I have seen some footage of him this year and he is amazing in attack, with blinding speed and great evasion.

He's not first choice goal kicker for the Jets.

True, didn't know that. My point remains though, if one of these young guys is a good goal kicker, I'd happily give them a crack on the wing in first grade.

He plays off the bench, comes onto the left wing depending on the game after 20 or so minutes.

It's very frustrating to hear he is going so well and that he has speed to burn and seemingly scoring trys at will. Love to see him debut this year but Griffin will keep picking Maranta no doubt and we will lose Marmin to another club where he will get his chance. Hopefully Bennett will give him a chance next year!

Barba isn't even in the top 5 for tries.

Garry Lo has 21 from 22 games!

Barba has scored 15 from 19 games.

Barba is pretty small though isn't he ?

He'd get monstered in the NRL.

Marmin is only a little bloke. It is really hard finding a spot for him especially since he isn't really playing a well defined role. If he was in the halves or at fullback maybe he could be looking at a debut.

He comes on and plays on the left wing. He's averaged over 60 minutes every week in the role.

Off the bench though is hard to get an NRL start for a winger.

Without a doubt. It is a well defined role for the Jets but not for an NRL team.

Which is the exact thought process that has led to us missing out on other players in the past.
