I'm very much in the minority I know but if we are keeping Macca, I would be happy to play him at lock.

No wayyyy. Keep Carrigan there and persist with him as a 13.

Things are looking pretty grim for Jimmy if Wayne has even given up on him.

Isn't this usually where the Titans would throw their hat in the ring, they could even sign the contract on his behalf.......................ahhhh just like old times. :smoker:

He was dally m centre of the year at Titans. He should have stayed there.

That is what will happen but I just happen to see Carrigan as an excellent prop and think Macca can play to his defensive strengths as a glue in the middle defensively. He can also play make.

I'd prefer to just start Macca at 9 if we have to play him. Macca and Carrigan in the middle at 9 and 13 should get the defence fairly tight in the middle. Those two can tackle while the props (haas, tpj, lodge) run.

Ideally we release Lodge though. As you can see, we don't really need him.

I don't mind the idea of Macca as a bench forward, to be honest. I think he could fill a David Staggs-type tacklebot role, soak up some defence mid or late game.

That'd kill me to watch us play Macca at lock while there are so many quality locks out there in the NRL.

In my mind if it's not Carrigan at lock for Broncos then it should be TPJ. Get him playing like Lolo.

Otherwise we should just swap Lodge for a lock.

Broncos coach Kevin Walters has finalised his team of assistants with John Cartwright and Terry Matterson to be his right-hand men next season.

The Red Hill revolution is in full swing with Walters coming to terms with Cartwright and Matterson, with the Broncos hoping to make a formal announcement in the coming days.

Cartwright & Matterson are decent assistants, I'm happy with that. Would have liked to get Henry as well, but I can live with those two. Thought we were getting Hannay as well, but that looks to have died in the water.

Is matterson any good though, what's he been doing? Was with the cowboys and some SL team but not sure other than that.

If we can extract the maximum out of TPJ he has all the potential to be the best forward in the game, he isn't a run meter forward though he is at his best attracting 2-4 defenders popping out offloads that create massive holes and absolutely shattering the morale of other teams with his physical presence, at his best he is the alpha of the field.

Was appointed head of football at Easts Tigers in 2019, was going to take over as head coach in 2021 with Craig Hodges leaving.

For mine, anyone who is in the Storm system and is good enough to be running their ISC feeder club, must have something going for them.
