Bet Thurson's legal team have copies.

About the Thaiday incident

Cecchin was heard over Sports Ears - the on-field radio signal between referees which fans can tune into during live NRL games - joking he had earned sponsorship from Asics, given how often the soles of his boots are shown as the result of tumbles from such run-ins.

Thurston also didn't brace himself for the collision. Thaiday etc did.

Re: Uh Oh - Thurston could miss origin

This is a bullshit situation, but I don't think the loss of Thurston will significantly weaken QLD. You'll still have a pairing of Cronk/Lockyer, which shits all over Pearce and Soward. Hell, you won a series with Princess/Thurston; Locky and Cronk is a better pairing than that.

Why am I getting a Mr Burns vs Bart Simpson/Lionel Hutz vibe out of this?

BTW, Matt Cecchin = Bart Simpson.

Hutz: How are you Matt?
Cecchin: I'm fine.
Hutz. Fine, that's good, NO YOU'RE NOT! You are in constant pain!
Cecchin: I AM IN CONSTANT PAIN.

If JT is out I still think we will carve them a new one. Cronk has an awesome combo with Slater and SMith,

Re: Uh Oh - Thurston could miss origin

THE controversy over Johnathan Thurston's appearance before the NRL Judiciary tonight has entered Federal Parliament.

Outspoken North Queensland independent Bob Katter made a failed attempt for the Parliament to condemn the charge against Thurston as "mischievous" and "trivial".

"The citing by the Match Review Committee stemmed from an incident in which both the halfback and referee were looking in a different direction from that in which they were moving," Katter told the parliament. "Neither party could be regarded as culpable, responsible or even as initiating the incident."

"In light of the facts of this case, that this citing by the Sydney based Match Review Committee could be regarded as irresponsible or, even possibly, mischievous."

Katter endorsed The Courier-Mail's description of the citing as "arrogant and hypocritical, and as a pathetic act of desperation."

He warned if Thurston was found guilty tonight, this would "deprive tens of millions of Australians of the great excitement enjoyed by a State of the Origin decider and NSW of their right to winning fairly".

When no one in the Parliament backed the motion, Katter fumed that every politician left in the chamber was either from NSW or didn't follow real football.
