The way Anthony Seibold got his players up for the Storm game tonight and totally dismantled them, him coaching us doesn't seem so bad, and i'm wayne's biggest supporter.

A fair bit of experience in that Souths side compares to ours though. He is gaining a bit of respect in my books though, especially hearing about his training methods.

From the interviews I've seen with Seibold he comes across as very much in the same mold as Bellamy, a smart character and very thorough with his research, training and preparation.

The kind of coach this team needs is one who builds a team into a premiership every year and a favour once in every four.
It's a hard gig here and we are not very forgiving of coaches going through "development" years.
It's very different to South's, manly, dogs etc.
Not making the top 4 and your jobs on the line. Not make the 8 and it's gone.

Our side has more experience than Souths. Nearly 500 games more of experience.

This is true but even the greatest coaches of all time cannot get their players up from time to time (Bennett and Bellamy).

What matters is how their teams respond after a loss and not many teams can dismantle the Storm like Souths did so alot of credit has to go to Seibold. I like his demeanor also, mostly calm and very collected, switched on, no bullshit.

Awesome! Thanks for finding the stats. I wasn’t doubting you as much as I was genuinely curious, so thank you for doing that hard work for me.

Seriously, I know the poor bloke has had a terrible run of injuries, but how has Kahu only played 90 games?!?

Seems like he’s been around long enough to have played 190.

Really highlights his struggles.

Really highlights his struggles.

The first few seasons which are 2013-2014(13 appearances) hurt him because of injury setback, between 2015-17 he actually made 67 appearances(22,20,25) which is fine and then this season his made with the injuries his played 11 so far. He hasn't been around long enough to play 190 matches, at best with minimal injury disruption on average somewhere between 125-135.

Injuries killed his potential, but he'll end up with over 100 games for sure, might even go over 150, so it's not like it's a tragedy or anything, he's still had success.

Pretty much. On good knees might have a had a higher ceiling as a winger for longer or as an old fashioned support running fullback. But never took chance at fullback to ball play like is needed for a top flight modern style fullback. Whether that is lack of talent, opportunity or coached out not sure. Probably all the above.

Kahu is a good team man but wouldn’t mind him getting a bigger deal elsewhere before he’s done possibly sooner rather than later.

He definitely took his chances at ball playing from fullback. Look at our highlights from the first few rounds of that season.

Yeah agree was pretty good (not sensational IIRC but good) for short period and then never saw it again...
