To be fair, Hunt's short kicking game isn't just a "little off", it's one of the worst in the NRL, and he's had 5 years to improve it and hasn't much, if at all.

It really shouldn't take half a decade to improve a stock standard skill for Halfbacks, especially for someone as skilled as he is.

Only been playing halfback fulltime for 3 years and I don't think his short kicking game is that bad.

Hunt has a decent kicking game ... we have seen that at different times. it is inconsistent and usually against the weaker teams in the comp.

so what do the weaker teams do differently to the top teams when defending a kick ... they slow down the play the ball and put the kicker under enormous pressure, and we make it far too easy for the top teams to pressure our kicker, since we always use the same bloody one.

besides, why is the short kicking game solely Hunt's responsibility when Milford is much better at it. is he not a half? is he not a playmaker?

The game management side of things is where we really see the effects of Hook keeping Hunt on the bench as a backup hooker for so long, instead of playing ISC and having an opportunity to develop that part of his game. much of that comes from experience. and he isn't overly experienced as a starting halfback at this level.

Yeah I'm not so sure about that honestly, they're both pretty bad. We just need to hope Milford learns and improves faster than Hunt has.

The anti-Hunt brigade have bad memories when it comes to Hunt's short kicking.

But none of them want to go through the footage.. They will tell people to go through the footage but won't do it themselves. So there is no point trying to argue with them. It's just going to keep going around in circles.
