A good start to the season seeing who our competition was. Defence was good again except for the Raiders second try. I feel that we have one of the best benches in the comp. Broncos would of dominated this game if their attack wasn't so rusty. As much as some people would hate to say it we will miss Ben Hunt next year.

i think dropping milf would be a horrible call. he seems a little like hunt fragile mind. makes a mistake and they keep goin from there. i think dropping him could put him in scrap heap. he needs patience and nurturing without doubt but ***** me u cant blame us supporters for bagging him when he puts in a game like that.

especially with the price tag he wants ( if i rememvber he even turned down our initial 900k a season to wait and see what salary cap is doing)

over 900k he is no wear near that atm only reason we are willing to pay that because of his potential and hunt decided to **** off

Mac's had a great game. Seems to pick up on the feeling that the halves struggle at times and ups his involvement. I noticed tonight that he took off from dummy half more often before passing ala Smith. It increased the tempo out of dummy half at times. Although I did also notice a few really quick passes from from Mac's as well. But I think the quick few steps toward the line before passing could be a good foil for his perceived slower delivery. Good try too!

True but that's what happens to your confidence and mindset when you are being totally "de-coached".
Honestly, as much as I rag on about Milford, I do believe he'll come good. If he can work on cutting his errors to 0-1 per game, I think the rest of his game will improve. He's been dropping to many balls, and I think that hits his confidence, and makes him try too hard.

I'm sure Bennett can see what we see with Milford and will address, but it will take time.

Couldn't agree more. Just needs to get back to basics and do all the little things well.

Milfords handling has been very poor recently and not simply in the greasy conditions tonight. I'm sure his handling errors must be a concern. Hunt was strong but **** me, not smart ! He is trying hard, no doubt. We had some good willing lads out there tonight with great bench contributions. Sims and McGuire were strong and Gilette and Macca very good. Blair was again a good contributor. Oates was a little lazy at times but had his moments otherwise. Boyd led by example. Glenn was average but he's been bashed up lately so I cut him some slack. Roberts was good and despite a few comments on here I thought Moga put in with some tough yards made and a tough assignment in defence. He did okay by me.

Happy to be a winner again.

Happy to take the 2 points and not look back on that one.

Fair call from ningers. Milf had a shocker but to his credit he kept showing up and didn't hide.

Major crushing on Kahu.

I thought Milford was trying to get involved the whole night. He got some bad service out of dummy half close to the line on more than one occasion. His mid-long kicking game was good in my opinion. Awesome chase to force that repeat set at one stage. Conditions obviously weren't great.

Hunt is back. Kicking, passing and running fantastic.

McGuire is shaping as a strong replacement for Parker. He made some huge post contact meters, threw some offloads and tackled hard.

The whole forward pack was strong. Really impressed with the bench guys particularly. Gillette is a beast. 10/10 week in, week out at the moment. Huge for us.

It was nice to look like we had a plan both for the field goal, and winding down the clock at the end.

Normally you're happy to be winning ugly early in the season. I think we've been losing while playing pretty well. Hopefully we can turn that trend around and build on this win.

Against what? The Premiers, the two sides that trouble us the most in our history and another Finalist side from last season. 4-0 Would be a fantastic result from that. Good is 2-3 IMO.

Look at the games. We were winning with no time left but still ballsed it up. Milf should have won it for us against the cowboys and he storm fluked a try. So we should be 4-0 easily.

I'm happy to persist with Milford for the remainder of the season, purely because I don't think Marshall or Nikorima will be an upgrade. One thing I will not persist with is the price tag of $900,000. He's dreaming if he thinks he's worth that, my offer on the table would be a 2 year deal worth $600,000 per season.

Until he's capable of proving that he can put in 100% effort to the jersey on the field AND off the field every week, I can't see any scenario in which he's worth nearly $1m a season. He's more or less been an overweight Mitchell Moses for the last 20-25 games of his career.

And I can't believe you guys are saying things like "At least he's trying".. Get real, did you watch the game? Every time he touched the ball he either dropped it or completely ruined our momentum by being so fat and unfit that he can barely get up to play the ball..

Thank you. Well said.

We should definitely be 3 - 1 at this stage, but that's mostly because of the mindblowing ref performance last week. I feel like we got the short end of the stick in round 2 as well, but nowhere near as bad as in week 3. I'm pretty much always expecting a Thurston field goal against us these days.

I'm wrapped to come through our first 4 games at 2 - 2. Yes we could have been 4 zip but we also could have been 1 - 3 .

I'm really looking forward to the chooks game in a couple of to test our d against their attack, that will give us a good indication on where we are.
