That’s quite OK!

I thought, seeing as though the second half of your comment was largely sarcastic, you’d appreciate one of a similar nature.

But on a serious note; I have shared differences of opinion with staff on here and witnessed countless more. But that doesn’t give me the right to criticise them for doing their job.

If you don’t like the forum rules or the staff, simply don’t participate.

You were wrong. I didn't appreciate it.

I never criticised anyone. Just wondered if it's only me who isn't allowed to use initials.

Anyway, how about the other point I made. As it seems you are so interested in my comment (no sarcasm there at all). Let's not get sidetracked. It's much more important. Is Wayne Bennett not starting to stink the place up?

Due to poor reception and work I only caught two glimpses of the game, Kaufusi powering over and some turnstile playing tag with I think Munster...it was enough to make me want to kick a hole in a stainglass window. So, so disappointed with todays result. I was epically wrong, again.
It's alright huge, I was there with you for 30 minutes. We were good a while then let ourselves down. Milf's nothing run on the 5th with no obvious opportunity, no communication and no idea of how to get a kick away made me want to hit a wall. You don't have to be a genius to know the team needed a steadying play.
A safe kick and we put them on the back foot. Instead we end up being scored against at the other end.
We need someone who can read that asap. I get that milf has the potential to be a game breaker, but between him and bird we have at the moment two of the most overpriced one dimensional players in the comp.
They need to know their role and have the discipline put it into action. Any cop outs on that saying he is not a play maker ignores the fact that almost everyone around him knew a kick was needed.
Once he made that mistake he should have been busting his arse to make up for it (like some of team mates were doing).
At some stage our play makers have got realise our forwards are not a bottomless font of energy. They tire and make mistakes or they tire lose the ability to bend the line.
As for us playing too conservative: how many times did we manage to completely stuff up good field position with looping directionless passes?
It's one thing to play attacking football but it is another to play with no plan or concept of one. Whatever a team does, you need everyone on board, and you need to know the limitations of what your teammates can give.

Is it legal to knee a player mid-air off the ball. They were glowing over Vunivalu using an AFL tactic to use his knee to push Oates away from the ball. Oates was perfectly placed under it, until Vunivalu knocked him out of the way.

If there is a loophole to be dirty Melbourne will find it.
13. McGuire - Backed up well from Origin and a long stint on the sideline, and shock horror, I can't remember him killing our momentum with a 4th tackle hitup once all game. Huzzah.

He did one once he got to dummy half and we were 5 metres out. Have calmed down a bit since the game ended and have to agree with others,we weren't that great. Not excusing Cummins however. All we needed was some good field position early in the second half but we simply weren't allowed it.

Playing with our tactics and doing both halves' job... he's just trying to swim against a massive rip and is slowly drowning in the process.

I'm just concerned about his long term future. His confidence must be in the toilet. Some of it is on Anthony himself, but probably more is on the coaching staff, who have really set him up for failure unless things change dramatically over the rest of the season and beyond.

I hadn't read your post when I posted a few moments ago but boy, there sure are some similar sentiments!

I dunno why other captains in the NRL can't do the same thing Smith does with the refs. Pretty much everyone else is yelling at the refs, while Smith is being polite and friendly, and that's how you manipulate them.

THIS.

And more than less, I am beginning to think that Milford was always a natural FB and ought to have been left there instead of having a club in desperate need of a 5/8 trying to make him into something he really isn't.

Melbourne took Oates out of the equation. Three in a tackle with the second almost always taking out the legs. That's how you tackle him, and no other team does it.

18. Wayne Bennett - He has been around a year too long.

But just last week you said you hope we stick with him next year? That was just after claiming you think he was purposely sabotaging the club. You appear to be vacillating....very indecisive. It would be much better if you would pick a position and stick to it. You are losing credibility with every post you make.

Would it be so much to ask that Milf plays at fullback when we have a starting position 30 mtrs out or closer.
Boyd could easily do what Milf does and Milf would be infinitely better than Boyd in those situations.

Just repeating the same things over and over is not worth the time/annoyance of watching us play.
As soon as they scored before half time I have to admit I turned off because I knew what was coming.

It's also the reason I won't pay to go to a game anymore. I hope Paul White takes the time to read some of the posts on here, who knows, but Paul if you are reading, WE ARE SHIT TO WATCH EVEN WHEN WE WIN, your product is rubbish and it's the coaches fault.

But you did criticise the moderators - that’s quite clear.

Moving on. If I may take a moment to offer some advice, FWIW. If you want to disregard it, that’s up to you.

I’ve observed from a far that you’ve come onto this forum with some strong opinions, which is more than fine as far as I’m concerned. But I also believe you’ve gone about expressing them quite abrasively at times, which has most likely contributed to you being somewhat marginalised with other members. In my opinion, sometimes that marginalisation has been warranted, sometimes not.

But if you wish to be treated fairly and have your opinion considered rather than ridiculed (by most anyway), try being a little more tactful. After all, no one on here is right and no one is wrong. Opinions are subjective.

As I said, you may take that or leave it - up to you.

Now, onto your other point.
Yes - I tend to agree that cracks are appearing in how the team is being coached. I’ve been saying so for quite some time.

The circumstance we are in (without a halfback) is most certainly partly Bennett’s fault as the one in control of his roster. The continued use of Kodi at 7 though is entirely Bennett’s fault.

That said, I also understand Bennett has so many runs on the board and knows more than anyone else in RL when it comes to coaching. Hopefully he knows something we don’t or has a plan that we’re not aware of.

Regardless, I’m certainly willing to give him the chance, because he’s proven countless people wrong over his career when they’ve written him off.

We were really good for the first half. Is it weird that we stopped being good as soon as the refs stopped being good? Just a coincidence maybe? Who knows. All I know is that I don't understand this sport anymore.

All he has to do, IMO, is unleash the talent of Milf. Boyd simply has to go to 6 or retire or at worst Wayne needs to get Milf to fullback at least in the attacking zone.

It kills me to see forwards like TPJ getting his hands free and no fullback sniffing around to burst into the back field.

Issako would be an option if he insists Milf is staying at 6. I have no doubt Boyd will retire at the end of this year, I can't believe Wayne is prepared to burn this season to avoid embarrassing Boyd.

Waynes stubbornness/loyalty is a big plus usually but at the moment it is killing us and killing our season.

We definitely are a confidence team. When our sails are up we look a million dollars. When things go against us its always a slow death with nothing beyond an opposition mistake or a penalty to get us out of our rut.
We need to be able to execute a plan b when things get tight. 1 out rucks with tiring forwards don't cut, but in all honesty it should never get to that. We need to understand the value of field position and no mistake football when the team gets tired.
We actually had the better pack against melbourne but they used the kind of football to negate that. Simple plays to find position, then press home the advantage until they wear you down. A few well orchestrated kicks with everyone doing their job and our fate is sealed.

I dont know how any
Typical Broncos performance. Storm give free opportunities then can’t close a game.

1. Boyd. 2. Good try (hole was size of Texas but got it done). Another good ball. 3 of storm tries were directly linked to his deficiencies. That missed tackle on Munster was pathetic yes offa was poor but that grab was cause for firing. Niko leaving hole cause Boyd never at back, and strolled to get that ball he was pushed out on (had no problem with Storm effort if it is consistently applied but as we saw 2 sets of rules). Absent second half and another lesson in captaincy by Smith. When refs are talking to Lodge and McGuire at tryline why wasn’t Boyd putting ref in his place - it was inappropriate for ref to not have captain involved.
2. Oates 3. Disappointing game. Rocks and diamonds but not good enough. Lacked punch in attack and outleaped.
3. Opaic. 2. Not demonstrating first grade standard.
4. Kahu. 4. Not a centre. Good meters and a try but lacks threat and still waiting for next injury.
5. Isaako. 4. Amazing run then bombed it. Needs intensive training on defensive positioning on the wing.
6. Milford. 4. Good assist to try assist. But what a waste. Looked half the speed of previous. Looked gassed despite barely playing origin.
7. KNik 1. Throw a number 7 jersey on a random QCup player and will likely do better. No runs, no organising, barely kicked, turnstile in defence.
8. Lodge. 7. Another solid effort.
9. Macca. 4. Would understand him being flat after debut but honestly what is the difference. Tries hard in defence again.
10. Thaiday 6. Best game all year. First half had moments of 5 years ago then went absent again.
11. Glenn. 3. Needed another week off. Flat, slow, and largely ineffective.
12. Sua 5. On and off but give him a year or two and will be amazing.
13. McGuire. 5. Understandably flat then misused as hooker late in the game when barely had energy to bend down to get ball. If he plays at all he shouldn’t start after coming back from injury and origin at once. Terrible coaching.
14. Mago N/A. Didn’t have an opportunity and didn’t feel I saw enough to rate. Why not play a spare hooker.
15. Offa. 6. Would have been 8 if not for laziness on Munster try. Needs to start.
16. TPJ 7. Big meters. Tried too hard - need to start him to prevent that nervous energy especially after a 2 week rest. Guy just wants to hit everything on the field -let him FFS.
17. Staggs. 6. Looked ok but again not enough opportunity. Why not just start him a centre since coach obviously doesn’t rate Opaic and need a partner for Roberts longer term.
Coaching. Another poor display. Not sure where the week goes cause obviously it’s not spent in tactics, defence, fitness or kicking. Suspect 70% is telling Milf not to play his natural game, 20% rubbing Boyd’s bad hamstrings and other 9.99% at team meetings in the nearest Maccas talking about the right way take one up runs. 0.01% is planning not the use the bench for tired players but Bennett’s largely got that one sorted. Fortunately the traditional pre game running over Cummins cat is done outside training hours by our dedicated leadership group.
Reffing. Appreciate the effort to level the Charlie count at 79.59 minutes.

Jeez, some harsh marks there! We werent great, but we werent poor. I dont think anyone deserved less than a 5 tbh, but i wouldnt say either anyone was better than a 6.

Do you pay such close attention to what everyone posts or just me? If the former, you have far too much time on your hands. If the latter, it's kind of weird, please stop.

To the crux of your comment, there is nothing contradictory about my position. Bennett is starting to stink up the place but he is still on big money for another year. Reported to be on about 1.2 mil. Is the stench so bad it's worth paying that out and paying a new coach? Can we bare it for another year? Perhaps create an unfavorable environment for him and then organise a payout for a lessor figure? In my opinion, that is taking it a little too far given his (very well paid) past services to the club. Though I bet that is precisely the kind of thing Melbourne would do.

So I don't really don't what the best course of action is beyond that Bennett absolutely should not get an extension for 2020. I've also stated (which I'm sure you know) I don't think Bellamy is worth 1.7 mil a year or even more. Extremely vexing which is why I state it here hoping to get the opinions of others on the matter. Instead I mostly get you haranguing for anything which is even remotely considered critical of Bennett.

But you did criticise the moderators - that’s quite clear.

You should have asked first. I don't want "your advice" and didn't read past the quoted text.
