well we did have a guy named Darren Lockyer playing his position at the time ... so we definitely shouldn't have broken the bank to keep him

Lockyer retired after 2011, Duncan was still 16 then. You are prob thinking of someone else.
As I understand it, he just wanted to play Union.

Definitely. I rated him the best young half we had at the time. Above Taylor and the 2 Nikos. Was disappointed he decided to go to union

If we lose TPJ can we pull the rorters card and sign two 1 mil forwards to replace him and claim that we still had money left over from when Parker retired?

He wants to be coached by the mastercoach until he retires. Obviously wants to get as much knowledge from him in his formative NRL years as he can before Bennett retires, that's why he came here. How could anyone blame him? He came to the club in good faith that Bennett would be coaching him, if Bennett is forced out at the end of this year why should he show the Broncos any loyalty?

Like I said, if he's only here for Wayne, then he can go and such is life. How long did TPJ think Wayne would go on, anyway? I want to see him commit to the club, not just the coach. Hopefully the board sticks to what they have already said, that Wayne will be allowed to see out the final year of his contract and hopefully that's enough to get TPJ to sign. Otherwise, we'll move on.
