People seem to have very short memories around here on some occasions. At the start of the season we had lots of forward depth, how did that work out for us?

We lost Savelio before a ball was even kicked in the competition proper. Lost Gillett for the season after 4 or 5 rounds. We lost Korbin with a broken jaw for an extended period. Brought up Haas for an unexpected early debut, lost him for the season after two games. Lost Sua for the rest of the season later. And had TPJ struggling as a week to week proposition with hamstring issues.

We have now lost Thaiday, Sims and I think Tagatese, and people want to get rid of Glen. A similar injury run to last year and we are horribly exposed in the forwards.

For the record, I hope you're not under the assumption that I'm basing my entire standpoint off stats, I also happen to think Su'A looks significantly more impactful and better than Glenn from just watching and comparing the two. I'd say it's very likely Fifita surpasses both of them within 12-24 months as well.

I wasn't, but you do seem to be using them to base your argument on more than what you see in game.

I agree about Fifita, but I also think both him and Sua are bound to have dips in form.

They dont have to lie, but there is a hell of a lot they dont tell you as well. I agree stats can be useful, but there are way too many variables to rely on them to judge a player. I'd rather see how both Sua and Fifita back up next year before i'd be wanting Glenn gone. We know Glenn does the job well, we know we can rely on him. He doesn't give away dumb penalties and he always competes every minute he is on the field and he has been doing it for a long time. Thats not the sort of player i want to get rid of.

We dont want to leave ourselves short either if they have a dip in form ( not uncommon in younger players ). Like i keep saying, going into next year relying on two unproven players, a player coming back from a serious injury and a prop who can play back row who might not even be here anyway is a hell of a risk.

We also need to find some backs as well imo, especially if Oates leaves. We are bit skinny at the moment especially for wingers. AS much as i like Kahu, i'm beginning to wonder if all his injuries have caught up with him. We dont have a great deal of wing cover at all now Jonas is gone.

Yeah , surely we are in the market for some backs.

This is quite funny.

Thurston elaborating on what I was saying about the Broncos mass signings of kids.

He was 13 years old when every other kid playing footy had a Broncos tracksuit (meaning they're signed) and he didn't.

I didn't mention that AJ Brimson is actually a Broncos Junior..

Milford was a player that we actually let go of too and had to buy back for overs.

Pretty sure Broncos sign just about every kid in Queensland when they're 13 years old.

Just got to question whether that makes it difficult to sort them out from best to worst. We're kind of like hoarders.

There you go @Wolfie.

There you go @Wolfie.

Says here that AJ Brimson was a "Brisbane product". Some people were saying that's not true but I don't doubt he was somehow connected to the Broncos at a point in time

He went to Keebra Park and played CC and MM for Gold Coast. He played touch football until he made those teams at 16.

Alright, I believe you then.

Does anyone have a link to where it says he re-signed with Titans?

Kahu to the Titans according to the greatest journalist of our generation, Ben "Dobbo" Dobbin.

Haven't they released hurrell

Have they? Would you consider signing him as depth? His personality could effectively replace Thaiday's in the squad haha. At a decent club Hurrell could turn into a top centre.

He's headed to Super League, Leeds apparently.

That rumour has been around a while now. Garry first reported it that Titans were chasing Kahu and Glenn.

I think it's likely to be true even if it's from Dobbo.

Rumour on the Rabbits forum, and from a poster who is usually in the know, that TPJ is being wooed by Rusty Crowe to sign for Souths. TPJ apparently stated he wanted to play with the Burji Bros and met Crowe in person twice. He would also replace Crighton.

Any chance of a straight swap between Wayne and Siebold with WB taking TPJ to the rabbits with him next year? Stranger things have happened.

What guy on the Rabbits forum said this?
