Not sure what to make of our season so far or ɓilly walters for that matter.
Yes we are top of table and I'm loving that but we jumped the Panthers with most of their squad post world cup and the other games were against very average sides and we have been relying on kicks /charge downs and a good bounce.
It's great having a bot of luck for a change but I'd love to see a few more tries where we work it inside 20 and ice a play.
I'm seeing glass half full or empty with BW too.
Yes he runs when he shouldn't and kills our attack but his defense is good, and he has improved his passing a lot.
I think he's a good enough footballer to learn when not to run I just hope it's this year.and I also agree with others his support play needs to push up with him not drop off as they do.

I think a few people on here would do well to understand the other team wants to win too. The Titans clearly came out high energy and played brilliantly. The fact that we could withstand that and keep our composure to capitalise when the opportunities were there is what good teams do and should be commended.

Comments from the usual about them being weak doesn’t make a lot of sense when if they were weak willed and fragile they hang their heads after the fast start and get blown out.

I always find it so interesting that some
posters are always morose after a win but a pig in shit after a loss. It seems the opportunity to say ‘I told you so’ outweighs the desire for the their team to be winning.

Couldn’t agree more, credit where credit is due. Theyve got a really strong team this year, especially in the backs - and they play an exciting and uptempo brand of football. They just ran out of steam and we were patient enough to just try and hold them before going flashy donkey style on their asses

Yeah he definitely has something against us. Perhaps grumpy about getting sacked from the coaching team still...
I was told a few years ago he was told to retire as there was something come up. He was never happy about it.

I thought Hetherington added another threat to our middle as well.

I was saying people were hyping up Kobe during the week .
Well they were some what justified . He lifted the energy during his stint . Good PCM . And good tackles .

Flegler back next week . Palasia has played two pretty decent games the last cpl of weeks . Still has that mistake or penalty in him though .

Tino is a great captain and sounds like a good dude.
Wish he was at the Broncos.

I’ve said it before, it’s easy to blame Billy and kick the bloke. He will only ever be a 5/10 player at his best. But, facts are facts, he has been well above his usual 2/10 performances. More importantly, WE’RE WINNING!! After the last 3 years?! ENJOY IT!

He's terrible and with the brilliance of the rest of the team has made up for Billy's mediocrity. Any other hooker you put in for all reserve grade we would still have the same amount of wins.

The desperation set in when Holbrook brought Mo back on with 27mins to play.

Old mate had just played out the first half and he barely gives him a spell before needing him to save the second half for him.

It's not that Mo was bad in his second stint, but his runs were ineffective compared to the first and so he got nothing out of him for the entire second half
Yeh, excellent pick up.

I heartely recommend this guys work to you all as well, well worth a read if you have time this Sunday.

Now, take a closer look at his brekadown leading up to the sin bin.

Here is a couple of things that stick out to me; maybe you agree or not.

1. Paix performance in the 2nd half. Do you agree he was looking to isolate Tino in this set of 6? I think he was, which is a great piece of dummy half work.

2. Have a look at the support runners either side of Kobe and Patty in this set. This is how you can isolate Tino for 3-4 consecutive tackles - as it holds up the defence as they try to see if theres a late offload. Again though, this starts from dummy half.

3. I think is quite possible near the end of the regular season we see Mozer get integrated into the 17. Ive lost count lately (see Rikis try in this game - look for Arey's response) how many tiems Reynolds throws his arms up into the air close to the goal line when Walters is at dummy half.

Mind you, as most halves do, he does throw his arms up anytime someone doesnt throw him the pill 20 metres out, so theres that...

Paix was really impressive but he’s still inconsistent, he needs to build on that game now.

Disagree, I think Canberra had their best game of the season last game and Titans had their best first half of the season against us, when your top dog other teams go at us harder then others and that's what is happening, in the second half we flattened them, the try that got them to 20 was just unlucky via Riki picking up the injury if you watch it, it would have been an easy cover had he not picked it up and the final try was just a silly last play.

I think a few people on here would do well to understand the other team wants to win too. The Titans clearly came out high energy and played brilliantly. I don't understand this. We're forgiven for playing like dog shit for 50 minutes because the other team wants to win? I'm sorry, but that's garbage. You don't think other teams go hard at the Panthers, the two-time Premiers? Or the Storm, as payback for their decade of dominance over pretty much everyone? Or the Roosters and their extra few million in the salary cap? Of course the other team wants to win, you don't make it in the NRL if you're not super competitive.

None of that has anything to do with the Broncos performance. The first half was atrocious. Look at the stats yourself. I don't think expecting more from both the team and coaching staff, as a fan, is too much. We need to be improving every week and I'm sorry, I'm just not seeing it. We look lost inside the opposition's 20m. We are still not respecting the football. We are still starting slow (well, our first set of 6 was brilliant and then we took the foot off the pedal) and conceding the first try.

My point remains, if we come up against a Storm or Penrith - who are also lifting because they want to prove they're top dog - playing the way we have been, we will get spanked. There's a lot of good in what we're doing this year, but there's still an awful amount of stuff we need to fix. I'd like to think we play better against the better sides, but I'm not convinced yet.

I'm not being pessimistic for the sake of it, I can see some real complacency creeping in and it bothers me. Sure we have the firepower to blitz most teams but without the composure to match it, I fear the good teams will make us look second rate. Like Canberra did last week. This team is better than that, I just want them to be the best they can be - because I don't know if any other team in the comp can go with us at our best.

Storm and Panthers have been Horrific in attack this week compared to us though, if you actually watched their games.

Pretty fair assessment I reckon

That's why its called a forum, posters opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one, doesn't mean they are or are not correct, just their opinion, it would be a waste of time having a forum if everyone agreed with each other.

Besides its a game and that's all it is.
