Can you actually cash in the bonus bet ?
A lot of these gambling bonuses are just play money that stays in the system . To keep people gambling . No real cash .

A bonus bet is a bet where you can't lose any money, it's effectively a free bet. You can't withdraw a bonus bet, you have to win on a bonus bet to be able to withdraw a bonus bet and depending on T&C's with the bookie, you may have to win more than once.

So basically what they are doing is giving you a free bet on top of what would be a losing bet with your own. Personally I don't see that as an incentive, some do though.

You can't, but you can put that bonus bet on a pretty safe bet and get the money back that way.

It's a promo that's really only any good for regular punters.

Love to know what bookies make on these Origin games, they've all got a flashy promo to throw at you.

It's more that they hope you'll put other bets on with them.

Putting it on a safe (i.e low odds) bet is actually a terrible way to use a bonus bet if you are trying to get money back, because you don't get the bonus stake returned. So if you put a $100 bonus bet on something paying $1.01, you'll get $1 back in your account, not $101.

The best way to play it if you really wanted to get money back is to put it on a high odds bet with only 2 outcomes, and then bet on the other side of that bet elsewhere. For example if you found a rugby league game with one team paying $5 on sportbet, and $1.21 at another bookie, you could put the $100 bonus bet on the $5 bet at sports, and put $330 on the $1.21 bet. No matter the outcome, you walk away with nearly $70 profit.

It should be easy to retain 60-70% of the value of the bonus bet, which means if sportsbet is going to give you a bonus bet if your multi loses, then you're effectively getting more than double the odds they are really offering, which means it's actually a very decent promo.

I feel it's going to the wire this one.

Their team is stronger than Game I, but I feel ours is a touch weaker - and they certainly had the running in the first and should NOT have lost. Suncorp is a factor, but they will also be desperate. And with the NRL set to lose millions if the third game is a dead rubber, you know which way the officiating will fall...

If the teams and situations were switched, I would be supremely confident of a Maroons against-the-odds victory. Do NSW have it in them? I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if they do, but I also wouldn't be surprised if we belt them back to NSW either.

Fitler planning on killing Hass in game 2...

To be fair, Payne can do it. I've no doubt. I can't ever remember seeing a forward with a motor like his, even Patty can't quite keep up and he's a fucking demigod. If Payne stays in the game he can go down as one of the best forwards in the game's history, if he's not already.

Please stay with us, Payne.

Can he do it in the Origin though ? I think Fittler can afford to play him longer than he has been, but i'm not convinced what he does in the NRL he is going to be able to do in Origin. Its just not the same game and thats taking nothing away from him. Origin has a physicality i havent seen yet in Paynes game.

Plus he isnt a Queenslander, so that immediately means he lacks a fair bit.

Any tips on getting to the game from the northside? I'm not going but my sister and her family are going. They can drive to my place at stafford and catch a bus straight to Roma St, but they live in the grange so if there's a better option they're open to suggestions. A train straight to Milton station would be good but it's sure to be packed and not sure what time the services end. Obviously we can look all this up but if anyone here is already going and has a plan in place, that would be great.

Not going but I always bussed it from Chermside straight to the stadium. The buses do stop along the way - Lutwyche may be closest to the Grange? - but they're usually pretty full and may not stop there.

They can catch the 325 bus in Grange that goes straight to Roma St and then catch the 325 bus back. Last bus is 10:55PM.

For broncos games we always park on the opposite side of Go Betweeen Bridge. Otherwise a train from Eagle Junction would be good if you’re coming from Stafford.

Out of interest, where do you park over that side?
