Broncos to Las Vegas

Well Andrew McCullough played 300 games in the same position and still never got to the same level as Billy was last season, so?

Jake Turpin played for years as first choice hooker, more opportunities than said Walters and aside from one game here or there, never looked anything more than mediocre, so?
Both started well and then the regressive spiral into record-breaking tacklebots sucked the life out of them. That doesn't seem to be the path Kevvie is sending Billy down.

Like...if you want to at least provide the facade of professionalism, just don't do this. It really isn't that hard to get this stuff right man. Regardless of whether the claims in the article about it being a better flight, more recovery, etc are legit or not, if you can't offer this to all of the clubs involved, don't offer it to any of them. If these claims are legit, the Roosters have just been given an approved unfair advantage. Will they let us use performance enhancing substances to compensate?

Just stupid administration by a stupid organisation all so that Vlandys can no doubt get some kick backs from some idiot in charge of the airline company.

This reads like an advert from United's 787 services more than anything else. They've just started some more flights down here, and have ramped up 787 use.

The 787 is a much nicer air craft, but adding a stop, which could be for a Fiji workshop or something would negate anything the plane gives the Roosters. It's still a shit longhaul flight.

What they're not saying is that the other teams could possibly be thrown on an A350, which is a far better ride than the 787 will ever be. If not, it'll be a 737 and possibly an A330. Both aircraft are fine to fly on for the distances.

Again though, this is not a comment about which plane is / isn't better. Just don't show favouritism / inconsistency.

But again, the NRL IS unprofessional and ARE inconsistent, so at least they are leaning into it I suppose.

There's really not much information to go on. Why don't we flip it. The other 3 teams are digging deep to go to Fiji, and massive RL fan base, where a lot of our talent come from.

Even if they do no clinics, their presence in Fiji is good for the game. Why aren't the Roosters interested? The dogs.

I'm surprised that the NRL is even organising the flights here, and why the hell aren't they organising a charter flight.

You can literally call Qantas, tell them you want to book the entire flight on X days, no other passengers, and Qantas will divert the plane to wherever the **** you want.

We all know the answer to why this is happening.

To break the paywall:

I wonder why the different flights. Other teams are going via Nadi.
Ahaha. Any second now gonna lose access to it, cancelled subscription a week ago. Thanks heaps for the link, perfect timing. 👏👏👏

Maybe that carrier is doing some kind of promotion and only needed one team?

If that's the case, each of the 4 teams should have been represented.

Anyway, Roosters now hold a few significant advantages over us. Nothing we can't overcome. That's the difference though between the Broncos and the Roosters. Broncos had to fight for everything they've ever earned. All the Roosters know, is splash the cash lol.

End of the day though, that just makes Broncs the stronger, tougher, more resilient and the more united of the 2 teams. Adversity breeds character and all that other good stuff.

Gotta feel sorry for uncle Nick though. Surrounded by free falling cash .. and yet he still doesn't get simple equations. lol

Broncos=All heart and soul.
Roosters=Still .. nothing of any noted substance. 😂

Rant over lol.

They're not even attemptting to make it look good anymore. Care factor is 0. It's embarrassing. So blatant, and so much cringeworthiness. lol.

I legit don't see why it's a big deal either way.

None of the teams will be sitting up the back of any plane they board.

If the Broncos really wanted to, I'm certain they would be able to do whatever they wanted flight wise. There must be a decent reason that the other teams aren't flying direct.

I cannot believe any of the clubs have to do a layover. There are multiple flights a week going direct from Bris/ Syd/ Melb to LA... This isn't 1982.

Didn't read the article did you?

Other clubs will fly Fiji Airways, via Nadi, to America but the Roosters were chosen to fly on the United Airlines’ Dreamliner by the NRL.

I did. It still doesn't make sense in a professional sport for the NRL to accept conditions like that, especially when not all of the clubs going are subjected to increased travel time.

Like I said earlier. The only thing that comes to mind is that they will be doing some workshops in an area of the world that truly loves the sport, and has produced a shitload of excellent talent for the game.

3 first grade teams landing in Fiji is excellent for the game there.

Also, if the NRL was serious, and still wanted to fly United, they could just charter the flight. So there is absolutely something else going on here. No one chooses a layover in Fiji without reason. I mean, if you were wanting to avoid the LH travel, you'd run into Honolulu before Nadi.

It's likely some workshops to spread the game there.

How much better if four teams went there then hey.
