The very reason we are so fucked. This has been our succession plan for too many past seasons. Have a look at Politis, farming out Flanaghan to get Suaalii - not waiting for someone to fall off the production line.

Time for some forward thinking and for people on the board capable of dragging us into the 2020’s and the finals.

if that's what he is doing, then Politis is dumb ... in fact the roosters halves recruitment and development hasn't been good for a number of years

It pisses me off that we are wasting time reviewing the bistro options at the leagues club while the very few decent players available are signing elsewhere. It really shows that on field performances are not the top priority for this club anymore.
They should. The Chicken Parmi there is crap!

Yeah, that Cronk guy they recruited and subsequently won back to back premierships with, was AWFUL...

there is an exception to every rule ... and even then they have Cronk's Mrs to thank for being able to pry him away from the Storm

There's probably dozens on Australian administrators with the same or more experience at far more successful organisations then the majority of them. That's how they get to become CEOs... The only one that the Broncos should beimpressed by is the ICC stuff, and that was over 10 years ago.
I get she might offer up a different point of view but I really, really hope the club isn't looking at this as a solution finder...
In other words if that CV belonged to Eugene Buckley from a men’s game they would be more qualified and more of a solution finder?

You are not pulling that one? Hahaha...

And to answer your question, yes. If those men's teams/competitions were larger financially and commercially.

Anyway, the rugby comp, the roar, they are men's teams so don't start pulling the sexism card. Its honestly ridiculous you have tbh ...

None of th3 above teams or comps are major successes is why I said it.

the free agent market right now isn't good. there is SFA quality available.

so our goal for this pre-season (recruitment wise) should be to be ready to pick up a player that may suddenly hit the market (and only if they improve our squad, not buying for the sake of buying) ... also identify where our weak spots really are and be ready to become a major player in the market for the 2022 season (when a large number of players are off contract)
Isnt 2022 when the second Brisbane team come in? Could be a real battle to get some quality where we need it....thats when i thought we would have a good crack at the market....forgot about the other local team....😂

20 years sports administration experience. During her time with Brisbane Roar the had back to back championships, that's success to me. She specialises in strategic planning and aligning governance and business structures. All sounds like stuff these halfwits could use, so I don't see your issue which why I assumed it must be gender.

My issue is why are we only starting this now but to be honest it is more likely this wouldn't happen because she actually appears qualified and competent which this administration would not want to associate with.

Success in the a league? We are really shooting for the top then aren't we............
when you assume you make ass out of u and me. That type of defensive thinking is what holds women's sport back more then anything else.

I think you'll find I've been a major advocate for our women's team and I applaud womens sport. I also don't live in fantasy land where it's put in the same category as men's. It simply does not bring in the same money and interest, and men will almost always hold an advantage in physical pursuits. I laugh when people in womens sport (mainly Serena williams) claims women should get equal pay to all men in sport haha womens sport would be bankrupt within 6 months if they even tried. You gotta bring the money in to earn it.

Success is success. The A league is still the top competition for that sport in Australia. Who exactly would you like to do a review?

The NRL salary cap auditor, he’ll find nothing and get pats on the back for it or the NRL chairman, he’ll make it up as he goes and the media will love the report or the government, they’ll say everything g is fine and give the board a pay rise.

I think she's well qualified and being a woman will be far less likely to take the 'nothing to see here' approach, take a $50k plus fee and move on. This could be the circuit breaker we need and she'll have no allegiance to a CEO thats departing.
Could be very worth while.

You keep saying this like free agents are the only people available. The Bulldogs are about to sign Flanagan and he was contracted. It just isn’t the case that players are unavailable. Why has Barrett started his job already and Walters has to wait until November to officially start?

Why are we doing another review when the answers are obvious. I’d expect anyone from BHQ, except maybe yourself, to be able to pinpoint where the problems lie. This club just throws money away.

Good luck to her.
With her experience in netball, if nothing else, I hope she arrives at the conclusion we get a netball coach in to teach our players about thirds and how you strictly cannot step outside yours.
Could do wonders for our wingers in particular.

How can you pinpoint problems when there are none? Old Gil White made sure of it.

They can do all the reviews they want, but you need someone with the power to make the changes they suggest and I can’t see white being that person considering he is on cruise control and has been on cruise control for the past year

There's literally 1000s of sporting clubs around the world that I would I deem more successful then any a league club in history. Take your pick.
You're right, success is success. But McDonald's wouldn't ask a local fish and chip shop owner for a review.
This person has no links to rugby league in her history so if we are going outside the box why don't we aim high, higher then us on every level.
