QLD- will they do it?

Well I can guarantee you Izzy wouldn't have been up to Origin in 2006 either...players improve and develop.

Stagg is going great guns this year and would handle Origin much better this year than he did in 2006.

Stagg would also have so much more confidence this year from not only playing in the 1 position consistently (ok, only round 3 but I'm sure he realises he has that spot pretty much sewn up barring disaster) but also from being allowed to play his natural game. I don't think he was ever really allowed to do that at the broncos.

Stagg has been very very impressive (for the fantasy nrl'ers, he has averaged 100 points a round 2) He has been in great form, both attacking and defensive, and he definitely so far deserves it over johnson.

Can we get berrigan to play origin, even though he is playing superleague? Is their an actual rule against it?
or is it more of a thing they've done so to encourage players to stay in the nrl for origin?

In general players have to be in the NRL. The selectors would have to ask for special dispensation to allow Berrigan to play, usually because there's no other alternative.

That's not the case, we have ample players available...and most are way better than Berrigan ever was anyway.

Does anyone think their is the slimmest chance the selectors will choose Sailor on the wing? :mrgreen:

Meanwhile the Bulldogs have played the tough opposition of a woeful Manly, the almighty Panthers & the Titans - scott prince. Hardly a test for the big fella just yet.....

It would be bloody awesome to see it but I doubt the selectors will pick him unless there are mass injuries in the backline. The crowd would love it the Big Dell running around telling everyone how good he is. icon_thumbs_u

I reckon we can do it. I'd have the following team;

1. Hunt
2. Zillman

5. Folau
6. Lockyer
7. Prince
8. Civoniceva
9. Smith
10. Price
11. Thaiday
12. Harrison
13. Johnson

14. Slater
15. Shillington
16. Myles
17. Kenny

That's a heavy pack and lends to two schools of thought;

- Johnson & to a lesser extent Harrison could do big minutes (60+), which would keep the big men relativly fresh
- Big men will get too tired & the quicker backrowers fron NSW will tear us apart around the ruck.

IMO, decent pack however I'd like to see one more specialist backrower at the expense of one prop.

For the sack of it;

1. Slater/Hunt
2. Boyd
3. Inglis
4. Hodges
5. Folau
6. Lockyer C
7. Thurston/Prince (whoever is playing the better footy, we lose nothing selecting one over the other)
8. Price
9. Smith
10. Civoniceva
11. Thaiday
12. Luck
13. Johnson

14. Slater/Hunt
15. Shilington
16. Harrison
17. Hannant

Cmon mate Boyd has been playing ordinary all year and you have him in your QLD side get off the grass surely Winterstien/Kemp are better options ;)

also in FCB's side i reckon you can only afford to have only 1 of Luck and Johnson. they are the same type of players and are great defensively but offer nothing in attack. i'd drop one of them and add Myles
