My boss just called me a "silly sausage". Given that 'all insults are equal' I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you all that I am in bits. Please keep me in your thoughts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This convo can't be real?
Now imagine he says it to a vegan feminist. Whole different issue.

fat shamed by a 7 year old, doesnt actually hurt my feelings ya know.

Fck you`re tough !
When they say it to another 7 year old , they might not be the tough guy that you are .
Ever consider that ?

Kevvie has praised team for standing by Mam.

He's also praised Patty and Staggs for their "involvement" in the hotel altercation

He said that a bench shakeup is being considered as we missed Patty in the middle.

Finally he said that he'd be happy for 4 new teams to head to Vegas next year, it has been reported that we were happy to be a part of the inaugural event though
Thank goodness that it will be the case. Happy that Kev declared it upon touching down home.

As much as I would love the Bronx to come here next year again, I would prefer them to stay back home.

Will I say the same had we won over the Rotters? I will surely don’t get me wrong. The atmosphere in and around Allegiant is great but I just don’t like the shorter field and the impact it will have on team just for 1 game.

Also, Kev acknowledging the changes &/ game plan from here on is really commendable. He has owned the things and on track to made changes straight away. Love you Kev!

Cam Smith said on SEN that as a player, he'd absolutely be keen to head to Vegas for the match ... But as a coach, he'd much rather stay in Australia to get ready for the season proper

Couple of points from the game
1. Im not a fan of our back 3 for yards out of our own end. I don't think they really get the sets going due to their size. Last year we had at least Cobbo who has size to get us starting on the front foot plus Oates. More emphasis is going to be needed from the backs to rectify this moving forward.
2. Im not a fan of the bench makeup with a lack of viable second row option. Carrigan is wasted filling in at second row. Him and Haas have the best one two punch in the comp and we badly missed that in the middle when he had to go to the second rower as cover for Piakura.
3. We were extremely under prepared for the ground especially with the dimensions. We put way to many grubbers in giving away 7 tackle sets. I thought the club would have done a little bit more homework in regards to that.

While I agree with point 3 ... I don't really see too much point training for a one off game on a non-regulation size field. We're better off preparing for the regulation fields we'll be playing on the rest of the season

I'll say it again. On a regulation pitch arthars scores the first try. Piakura doesn't get knocked out the next set and Mam doesn't throw an intercept pass.

Walsh kicks em dead on a regular sized field anyway .
Arthars caught a bomb and ran 20 - 30 metres ??
Walsh can expect a lot more bombs . He is not the safest #1 in the comp .
Maybe Hunt on the bench ? I thought he did some good things in the trials . Not flashy but good team player .

I've been harping on about this, but it really does need to be addressed, because if Patty is the second row back up then that also impacts on any injuries or HIA's in the backs as well.

If a winger or centre goes down, I'd imagine we're looking at Riki/Piaks shifting out one and Cobbo shifting out to wing.
If Walsh goes down... similar thing as Arthars or Cobbo would move to fullback, which means everyone shifting out one and Patty needing to shift to second row.

Basically means Patty would be moving if we lose anyone from 1-5, 11 or 12... Halves would be covered by Billy with Smoothy picking up minutes, and if we lose a middle then Patty & Haas are picking up extra minutes to cover.... so Patty is potentially on the move to cover 7 out of 13 starting positions that's too big of an impact on someone who is so so important to the attack and defence.

Most people seem to be in agreeance that 2nd row bench coverage is a problem. As much as I love Kobe, I feel like he may have to be the sacrificial lamb.

You need 2 middles on the bench, preferably big and/or explosive ones. Then you need someone who can genuinely cover 2nd row but also spend time at lock/prop when required.

From our current squad it would look something like 2 of Taupau/Baker/Willison alongside Hunt (who seems to be our only backrow option unless they sign Patston).

In certain games you could play Kobe as a more mobile middle at the expense of Taupau/Baker, but against most teams I think you need 2 genuine props.

But you also need staunch defense with Kobe is better at than almost anyone else at the club. I think you can get away with him + Willison as your middles and locks and then let Taupau, Baker and Hunt fight over the other spot.

I just think Kobe needs to lift his work rate, he is certainly capable of doing so.

It’s definitely something that needs changing and thankfully it seems like Kev is going to be smart enough to take action and accountability for the fact that it was just the wrong move to make. As @BroncsFan was saying that’s far too many positions that would require him to move to SR had one of them got injured. Not what you want. Also demonstrated the value of having a bloke on the second row even more. It’s not like they will just sit there waiting for Piakura or Riki to get injured all year long they can be a very useful tool for us and if it’s Hunt I think could even cover the centres instead of moving Piakura or Riki out of there position.

Whilst the bench in the GF was Hetho, Palasia, Piakura (not massive) I think it could spell bad news for Hetho. He one hundred percent deserves to be there but is that lack of size to much of an issue? I am not convinced it is a huge issue but I see Kev (or 90% of coaches for that matter) thinking it’s a big issue. 1 thing that could work in his favour and could work against him is that Hunt is proficient through the middle himself (more so than Piakura was playing the same role) but that proficiency also does extend to Lock which Hetho’s value really comes in. As long as Jensen is starting and Willison and a SR are there I couldn’t give a shit if the other bench middle is Hetho I think he is better than the lot of them, I think he defensively is great, has a quick ptb, can play lock and prop (and hooker if everything was to go to shit) I think despite not being as big a body he is still very much deserving of being there. If he was to be initially dropped I don’t think it would be that long before he was back.

8. Jensen (40)
10. Haas (60)
13. Carrigan (60)
15. Hetherington (35)
16. Willison (30)
17. Hunt (15)

Just as a rough rule and if you lose one Hunt, Willison, Hetho, Jensen and even Carrigan and Haas for that matter can all increase there minutes from there.

I still think there should have been a game plan adjustment but. Like we gave them a few cheap restarts due to dumb kicks in the in goal. Like surely the coaches could have pulled them aside early before the game and said the in goal is 6 metres, no grubbers inside the 10. Either through the hands or bombs only.

What makes you think he can play hooker ?

What makes you think he can play hooker ?
All his junior (u20’s) and rep football was at hooker and he has played hooker on more than the one occasion throughout trials and possibly even throughout the regular season - don’t quote me on that last bit my memory is failing exactly when he played it but it has definitely happened. He did very well when he played there as well. Not that I would be playing him through that role but he does offer more value than a 25 minute Taupau or Baker beyond what they bring through the middle as well.

No audio evidence apparently. The case is going to rely on believing our players. Leniu is clearly going to get off.
He won't get off. On the balance of probabilities it happened. Why would ezra make it up. I reckon he will still be sanctioned
