Honestly what’s the point?

What’s the point of wanting to see a good, hard fought physical contest between 2 teams when every. Single. Week. The referee gets involved with 6-agains for absolutely nothing, horrendous calls, total inconsistency and players getting sent off literally just for making a normal tackle. Nobody can even identify what a hip drop is… right now if any player gets injured in a tackle then it qualifies as a hip drop and it’s 10 in the bin. It’s beyond farcical - this rubbish is completely ruining the game and making it totally unwatchable.

what’s the point being invested in, passionate about and supporting a team when the outcomes are pretty much completely random? We can be the better team all night and get robbed by awful refereeing and nothing EVER happens. It just goes onto next week’s lucky dip.

as fans, it’s hard to tell why we even bother. The product the NRL are putting on the field now is not only laughably amateurish, but it’s just bad. Nobody wants to watch a ref dictate results and ruin games with ridiculous, inconsistent, nonsensical calls and penalties and send offs for regular play that results in injury.

every week I want to watch less and it hurts because I love the Broncos so much but cannot stand the NRL.

Join the AFL dark side my friend.

Yep. I am confident he will commiserate the boys, sympathise with that trash they were up against BUT also tear them to shreds for the hail Mary plays and like of cool under pressure when taking the tackle was the play and not pushing the last pass that wasn't there.

I actually didn't think they were pushing passes that much. Trust me, I'm not going to watch the replay to find out if I'm wrong, but I honestly thought they were greatly improved in that area. I'd have liked to see better fifth tackle kicking, but at least they weren't dropping the ball on the toe on tackle two or dumping dumb offloads out the back to no one.

I have probably been a fan longer of the Broncos than you. I support them through everything however I'm not one of these delusional fans perhaps like you that just thinks the Broncos are God's gift and will win the premiership every year. When we are playing to our potential, I say it and am proud of it however when we aren't playing to our potential especially against the Storm given the record, I call it out and speak how it is. If the truth hurts then mute/block me however I suggest you grow thicker skin because if a random guys words like mine anger and frustrate you on the intenet and turn you into a little sensitive boy, how are you dealing with the real world pal? Toughen up. Now, mute/block me. Mmmk? Cheers.

Dick? Surely you can do better than that ;)
OK like I said before fuckwit

I mentioned it in the live thread but I'm genuinely curious - is there no rule prohibiting an attacking player leading with the knee or foot when contesting a bomb? Coates just about flying kicked Walters in the face with his studs, and led with the knee against Cobbo earlier. If we're all about duty of care these days...

It is all pretty funny though, the NRL basically has a free shot at the Melbourne market tonight. No Thursday AFL game for one of the few weeks this happens per year and you have the exciting ladder leaders and also most supported league team in town. What a time to showcase this fast game the NRL us all supposed to be about. Instead we come away with an overly long piece of garbage that I doubt anyone anywhere enjoyed.

Yeah Melbourne got the win but that game was putrid and would have not won any new fans whatsoever. Imagine trying to explain 90% of those decisions to a noob. I’d just be throwing my hands in the air and saying ‘Who on earth knows?’

As James Graham would say, ‘Who are we trying to cater for?’ Speaking of which, what’s happened to that guy, sadly haven’t seen him on Fox at all and he was their one shining light.

Seems like he was pushed aside, now he mostly does Triple M.

I refuse to blame the referee for that game not going our way. We never looked in it after Reynolds went off and we were only hanging in there at that time despite being massively ahead in penalties and even being awarded a slightly dubious penalty try.
Are you high? Never looked in it? Reynolds came off and we took the lead 8 mins later lol we were the better team until the ref kicked in.. It’s funny foxsports were saying the ref was doing a good job in the first 20 mins because he let the teams play.. nek minnit

I'm done with the NRL and am going to find another sport to watch.
I might watch if we make it to the premiership but other than that, this is not the game I loved growing up.

Between Hughes unpunished shoulder to the back and Patty's sin binning, I'm done.
I am tired of contentious calls every single week dictating games.

Even when you win, there is questionable calls in the game that either diminish your victory or compound your loss and I'm over it.

I switched the game off after Carrigan got binned, and wont watch one second more of this shitshow people call rugby league these days.

Get fucked Vlandys, get fucked NRL.

You’re lying…… 🫵
IF at the start of the season you said you wouldn’t be happy with being #1 (possibly second after this weekend) on the ladder 2 games out from Origin. Especially after the last 3 years of sh!t the club went through.
