Unpopular opinion but I thought Madden had a decent game, he kicked well and did the basics right. He will improve in no time but again, it takes time for players to develop into the finished product. Reynolds wasn't doing all the things he does for us in his first couple of seasons I can assure you of that. I can absolutely see him developing into a good player in time and leaving a few with egg on their faces.

Sailor was unbelievable for about 65 minutes, made a rookie error and we didn't see the ball again.

Reynolds won rookie of the year in his debut season, played for the NRL Allstars in his second season, and won a grand final in his 3rd. Might be a bad example lol

South’s before Reynolds:
2011 - 10th before he debuted

South’s with Reynolds
2012 - 3rd
2013 - 2nd
2014 - 3rd & premiership

Yeah, one thing we need to keep in perspective is that most of these guys have only had a few games. People writing off Madden, Mozer and Rogers as nothing but plodders are a bit hysterical.

Would gladly take an egg on the face but to me, he resembles of Croft very strongly unfortunately. He looked ok playing beside Ezra & our starting middle third. Without them, except for putting the ball in the air on 5th tackle is all I could notice him do. He have a long way to go to take control the game. For our sake, I hope he gets there.

Not taking advantage when the grubs were a man down & silly errors costed the game for us. Both Madden & Sailor were to be blamed mostly for this.

Also , I thought I would never say this but with all the experience, Oates should’ve done a lot better. He’s missing all game. Reckon the contract dramas are playing big on his mind. Hope something gets sorted in the next day or two. A fully fit & committed Oates is the need of the hour.

He was ok - but I didn't see anything that makes you think we have Reyno's replacement.
Sailor was rocks and diamonds. Defensively his positioning was pretty questionable and while he did do some nice things in attack, he also cost us points with some direct errors.

IIRC you were also sure Tesi was going to improve and become a star.

I reckon Croft would go really well in this side. The side he was playing in was the all time worst we've ever put out.

Milford with a sprinkle of Kyle Feldt.
Every tackle on him resulted in him clutching an ankle, his neck, a shoulder, or throwing his arms up at the ref.
Then miraculously playing the next set like nothing happened. Hate dudes like that.
OMG!!!
So it wasn’t just me…
I noticed that!
Bitch like behaviour.
Touch footy might be an alternative. Tackle isn’t for everyone.

I have been posting it all season, so it would be downright irresponsible if I didn’t do it again….

Rogers is in his late 20s

It still shits me that we didn't go here full strength and blow them off the park.

It's just a really unpleasant feeling as a fan to have these crazy M v B stats waved in your face everytime they play, and I feel like Kevie owed it to the fans to win this game.

It's not like our post game bye form has been anything to savour anyway.

These crazy Melbourne stats don't stop until they stop, and last night was that chance.

I hear you, last night hurt but it would have been a hollow victory if we fielded a strong team and the storm chose to rest their players. The haters would have used that against us at every opportunity and said it didn't count anyway.

We will get another chance this year to set things right.

But it wouldn’t have stopped anything. It would flawed stat and everyone would know it. If your concern is the media carry on over it a win last night wouldn’t have changed that. The next time we played the Storm the media narrative would be unchanged “Melbourne always seem to have the wood over Brisbane, especially at Suncorp” “but they did beat them end of last season” “coke on mate that didn’t count, Brisbane were full strength against a team of nobodies”

The broncos are looking right about the reported numbers by the day. Last night defensively more than anything was very lazy.

How many minutes did Grant play last two times he faced us?

Mate it's what the storm are doing with him now that counts. Past games don't mean diddly when a team changes their tactics.
