I think Herbie would be elite at FB. He could quite well be the next version of what fullbacks need to be.
I could see him as a Dylan Edwards type fb, but not sure he has any playmaking skills to go to that next level elite version of FB's.

Edwards has ways been a gun. He had one weird patch one season where his hands deserted him and he dropped everything that came his way, but either side of that little period he's been high quality.
I think if he got injured, Penrith would miss him more then every other player.

He's up against some stiff competition from Jamayne if that's where he wants to play. Otherwise, he only has to hold off Deine and Selwyn if he wants to hang onto his centre position.

Mate, take it easy. Your stance on Milford is no different from big del defending Tesi, with full blinders on. Reflect on that...
The big difference is Tesi isn't a fat lunk on $1 million a year who refuses to take ownership of his role in the team. He's a kid playing the toughest position on the field, who's busting his guts in training, wants to be better, but has not (yet) developed the game awareness and a couple of the crucial skills to be the fullback we need. We've already replaced him.

Tesi might be on the rise; he might have hit a ceiling. No one is planning to poach him for a million dollars. But Milford circled the drain as we fell from premiership contenders to wooden spooners. He deserved a good chuck of the blame. Thank **** he's gone.

If they were on the same amount, I would prefer Milford in our current team over Tesi and it isn’t close.

Not defending Milford at all but it’s all relative

Before anyone mentions Mam, of course I’d prefer Mam but if I had to squeeze 1 of either Milford or Tesi into our 17 - Milford would be the least detrimental imo

The big difference is that when Milford got that $1 million a year contract, he was light years away of what Tesi will ever be, because you don't acquire or learn the skills he lacks. That's why no one is knocking at the door for him, much less on a million.

The discussion about Milford has been done over and over again. He's certainly to blame for folding under the pressure, but it's a pressure he should've have never put under to start with, and there's only one person to blame for that.

Broncos fullback Te Maire Martin returned from a rib injury via Wynnum Manly in Queensland Cup and showed exactly why he’s set to be recalled into the NRL side this week. Martin scored a try, set up another, got two linebreaks, two linebreak assist and ran for 155 metres, although he did miss five tackles.

If you look at the highlights te Marie was pretty poor in defence, out of position and a general lack of urgency

Whaaa !

Couldn`t be . He`s the defensive rock who is always in position , has more urgency than a cardiac arrest and communicates better than any other #1 in the NRL .

Must have got a head knock ?

lol if you watch the actual game he was brilliant in defence. Organising the line with great nuance.

One his “misses” was him perfectly covering an overlap on the line, getting his body in front of a much bigger man and dropping his shoulder into the midsection allowing cover defence to prevent a certain try.

The full replay is on Kayo for anyone who cares to not look like an idiot
