I'm kinda hoping Bird doesnt actually come here. He is a great player, but there is something about him i just dont like. Cant put my finger on it, but i just feel like he needs a good punch in the mouth.

Played ISC two weeks ago. Would have been there last weekend as well if not for the late withdrawal of Sims. That has fringe written all over it.
What ! He has started more games then come of the bench . Hunt also played a game of isc, and if it wasn't for milfs injury maybe more. Arrow and fai are fringe .

Opacic will develop into a really great player. Look what he did in his rookie year, just tore it up. Reminds me of a Dave Taylor minus a poor work ethic, so more likely to realise his full potential.

Dave Taylor?? You sure you are talking about the same Opacic we have been watching? The kids okay but certainly not world beater. Overrated if you ask me.

Was really hoping to see more of him this season. Seems to always cop injuries. Poor bugger.

I would really like to see Bird as a ball playing lock. He is a wild player who is hard to bring down and can make something out of nothing.

I think this is the position that Wayne has him penciled in for down the track.

Yeah same. Kinda like a wade graham type player which would be great. Wouldn't mind seeing him have a crack at 5/8 as well.

Opacic - future Origin player (if healthy)
I am also a big fan of his. He reminds me a bit of Brent Tate. Once he shakes this current injury bug, he can then make a claim for a first grade spot. The problem being that there might not be a spot available meaning that he may have to take his job skills elsewhere.

You can't be serious? There totally different players. Opacic is like Jack reed, Brent Tate was fast as lightening, opacic is not fast at all.

I just think Bird is a bit of a grub tbh, I would think the same no matter where he played.

I don't think Bird is coming to play in the centres. If Moga leaves, we are going to need to find another center for depth anyway.

Well a few guys in the know think he will be in the centers. I think he will be too , i also think we could make do without him though.

From the bit of talk i have heard, he hasnt been brought to here to be a center long term. He may start off there ( although i still doubt that ) but i cant see him playing there above one season if at all. I'm still thinking Lock. Bennett gives very little away, so who knows.

You may be right but for the time being I still want Bird at center... in fact the back row i would love to see in the near future is:

11. TPJ
12. Gillett
13. Arrow
